Settle is one of the most successful cricket clubs in Yorkshire, winning numerous championships and cups in the former Ribblesdale League and the Upper Airedale Junior League.
They were 2023 cup finalists in the North West League and in 2024 gained Division One status in the Northern Premier and Westmorland leagues.
There are three senior league teams and sides at U!5, U13, U11 and U9 levels, as well as Women’s, Girls’ and Softball squads.
The U15s are 2024 league champions and the U13s are the cup winners. A Friendly XI plays on Sundays and our very friendly Midweek 'Spanish' XI has sixteen fixtures. Walking Cricket started in 2022, so all ages and abilities are catered for. In 2022 Settle played an England Legends XI, a Barbados Invitation XI and for the last two seasons has hosted MCC matches on our award-winning ground.
We have a local army of coaches, organisers, administrators, ground and maintenance staff, and bar and catering helpers. However, new volunteers are always needed! We are kindly sponsored by many businesses and individuals. For six years, Settle CC employed Sri Lankan all-rounder Ashen Silva, an outstanding professional and coach.
The ECB awarded us Clubmark status in 2021, with excellence in all areas.
In 2023 the Ribblesdale and Bolton leagues merged to form the new North West League.
After one season there, Settle 1st XI finished in the top ten of the Northern Premier League, joining Division One in 2025. And after winning the Westmorland League Division Two title at their first attempt in 2024, our 2nd XI are promoted to Division One.
The 3rd XI finished in second place on debut in WL Four South, missing the top spot by a single point.
