Directions
From the City Centre go down Fishergate Hill past the station on your left.
Turn left into South Meadow Lane at the last road on your left before the traffic lights.
Preston Sports Club is about half a mile on the left.
N.B. You cannot approach the ground from the west this way.
From the west after crossing the River Ribble turn right at the traffic lights into Broadgate.
After 800yds turn left into Wolseley Rd. Preston Sports Club is opposite the end.
Preston is one of the oldest clubs in the world founded in 1821.
The Club played on three grounds before founding the present ground in 1872 .
The club played "friendlies" against major town teams in Lancashire.
They entered their first League, The Liverpool Competition in 1950 which they won in 1951.
In 1952 the club became a founder member of the Northern League.
Preston have been League Champions three times ith the main successes being in the eighties winning at some time each of the main league and cup competitions.
