Defending Northern League Champions Blackpool are looking to retain their crown as the 2015 season draws ever closer. The team from Stanley Park have made no changes with Blackpool Captain Paul Danson looking forward to the new season:
Captains Comments:
"Blackpool look to retain the Northern League Championship with mainly the same first team squad. Namibian Professional Christi Viljoen returns for a second season, after his record breaking start to life at Stanley Park. A Number of fringe players however have moved on due to the lack of competetive second division cricket.
We know it will be more competitive as other clubs have invested over the winter, such as Darwen and Netherfield, however I am sure we will put up a fight once again.
Our young lads will improve again, and can only get better from experience with the Lancashire U19 setup over the winter. The Club is looking as well as ever, and hopefully Lancashire returning on the 29th July will inspire more of the town's children to join the leading club on the Fylde Coast".
