ST ANNES CRICKET CLUB:
First Team Captain: - Andy Kellett
Professional: - Xander Pitches
St Annes Cricket Club aim to build on good 2014 as they look ahead to the 2015 season. Andy Kellett's team had a good 2014 finsihing 4th as well as reaching two Cup Finals.
It's been a relatively quiet off season at Vernon Road, where they have signed Namibian International Xander Pitchers as Club Professional to replace Toby Bulcock. Other than that the rest of the squad remains the same
Andy Kellett shared his thoughts on 2015:
"The only change we have made is our Professional. After two years fine service, Toby Bulcock has moved on and we have replaced him with Namibian International Xander Pitchers.
Xander is an early order batsman and off spin bowler. He is young and enthusiastic with a very good 1st class record and we are all expecting him to go well this summer.
Matthew Grindley, Matt Taaffe and Mikey Harling have all played Cricket in Australia this winter which can only improve their games.
We had a good season last year, finishing 4th in the league and getting to 2 cup finals. We are aiming to capitalise on 2014 and improve during 2015.
We have 5 trophies to aim for and I'm sure if we perform to all capabilities we will have a successful year"
