Barrow Skipper Daryl Wearing is looking forward to the 2015 campaign. The team from Ernest Pass enter into the 2015 season looking to improve and climb the League ladder. However for Barrow to acheive their goal, they will have to do this without Ryan Brown and Graham Dawson. Brown signing for Nantwich with Graham Dawson joining Millom
They have however brought in Sri Lankan Professional, Tharanga Paranavitana as well as signing Stephen Boyd an opening bowler who has represented Northumberland as well as representing the England Junior team in his youth:
Barrow Skipper Daryl Wearing shared his thoughts on the 2015 season:
"We are all really looking forward to the 2015 season. We have lost two strong players in Ryan Brown who has joined Nantwich and Graham Dawson who returned to Millom,
That will provide big opportunities for other guys. We have signed opening bowler, Stephen Boyd, who has represented Northumberland at Minor Counties and in his youth represented England at junior level. Boydy has recently moved to the area to take up the role of Youth Development Officer. He has got us working hard during preseason and certainly raised the bar.
We have had to replace KP as pro but hopefully our replacement, Sri Lankan Test player, Tharanga Paranavitana will do ok.
I see the League being very competitive this season and in I think a number of Clubs will go in to the season confident they can compete. We are no different and hopefully we can have a good cup run and maybe we can be in with a shout of silverware. We are just looking forward to getting going now"
