Lancaster Cricket Club captain Ben Simm is keen for his Lancaster team to make amends from a disappointing 2014 campaign as they get ready for the new season.
The Lune Road outfit had a poor last campaign where they finished 2nd from bottom a complete contrast from their efforts of 2013 where they finished third
Ben who enters into his third season in charge commented on how he hopes his side can improve for 2015
"We are really looking forward to getting going this year and putting a disappointing 2014 season behind us. The signing of Rameez Raja has got a lot of people excited and I know he is keen to get going.
However he needs some help from us amateurs, we are honest enough as a group to admit we were poor last year. This year has a different feel and we will be bringing a much more positive approach to games.
Off the field things are going well and a lot of pressure has been taken off players to concentrate on playing. Hopefully we can push hard in the cups and return to our 2013 form in the league. I know the squad are keen to right the wrongs of last year."
