Season Preview: Chorley Cricket Club

Chorely skipper Andrew Holdsworth

CHORLEY CRICKET CLUB:

1st Team Captain:
Andy Holdsworth,
Overseas Amateur:
Brenton Mc Donald

Chorley Cricket Club's main priority is the League, as they aim for a top 4 finish after a dissapointing 2014 Northern Cricket League campaign.

The team from Windsor Park have done well in cup competitions but have been unable to produce that form in the league. Something which Chorley Captain Andrew Holdsworth is keen to address.

"We are very much looking forward to the 2015 season. Indoor nets have now finished and the lads are keen to get outside as we step up preparations.

2014 was a disappointing season in the League, however this was masked by our excellent run in the Royal London National Knockout which we will be looking to go one better this time around.

The league however will be our main priority this season as we look to put right our recent under achievement in this format.

With the recruitment of Brenton Mcdonald who is an outstanding player and the top 4 will be our aim. Brenton is not only an outstanding talent but has a wealth of experience which will help us throughout the season.

There have been no huge changes within the close season, the loss of Billy Smith is a blow but we also see the return of Jimmy Lee and Stuart Naden back to Windsor Park"
