Division One
The second weekend of The Northern Cricket League gets underway, as defending champions Blackpool look to make it two out of two when they host Penrith at Stanley Park. Penrith also go into the game on the back of an emphatic win over struggling Preston with Kris Mclean's side full of confidence.
In the other games, Barrow look to bounce back from their defeat to Fleetwood when they travel to play Leyland. Barrow are hopeful that Sri Lankan professional Tharanga Paranavitana will make his debut. Leyland were in good form in their win over Chorley, Richardt Frenz is looking to back up his top scoring half century against Daryl Wearing's team.
Morecambe begin their season when they travel to play Netherfield at Parkside Road. Sri Lankan professional Suraj Randiv will be making his debut for Josh Dixon's team. Netherfield are looking to respond after their heavy defeat at Blackpool. Mark Clarkson is keen to build on his opening day 4 wicket haul.
At Shap Road, Kendal are looking for improvement and entertain Fleetwood. The visitors are travelling to Cumbria with a good win over Barrow under their belt and Australian professional David King in good form.
Darwen host Chorley, with Jordan Clarke's team keen to get the win after being frustrated with a winning draw at St Annes. Chorley are looking to get points on the board following their defeat to Leyland last weekend.

1In Division Two, Leyland travel to Barrow, Morecambe host Netherfield, Kendal travel to Fleetwood, Chorley entertain Darwen,Penrith entertain Blackpool, with Preston travelling to St Annes.
