NETHERFIELD CRICKET CLUB:

First Team Captain:Marc Brown,
Second Team Captain: Scott Clement,
Professional: Dieter Klein

Netherfield Cricket Club enter into the 2015 campaign, looking to build and improve on the 2014 Campaign. The Parkside Road outfit retained the Twenty-20 Trophy, with wins over Lancaster and Blackpool. They also made the Readers Cup semi finals eventually falling to St Annes at Vernon Road.

Its been a relatively quiet winter for the Club, where they have retained most of their squad with the exception of Amateur Ben Phillips and last seasons paid man Saliya Saman. Netherfield have brought in South African All Rounder Dieter Klein, who was sub professional for the Team in 2011, as well as British passport ho;der Australian Rick Potter

Netherfield Skipper Marc Brown looks forward to the 2015 season

"Clubs seem to have been busy this winter recruiting so this season should be another exciting campaign. We are looking forward to getting started and building on some positives last year.

Recruiting a Professional is always a long process. As soon as Dieter became available he was our number one choice. He's a very exciting cricketer and is coming off a very good season back home so hopefully he can carry on that form at Netherfield CC.

We have pretty much the same playing squad from last year with one change. Ben Phillips couldn't commit to coming over again from Sydney due to work commitments

So we have replaced him with another passport player in Rick Potter from Sydney grade club Blacktown. Rick is 20 and played in the Cheshire league last year.

We will be looking to find consistency in the league to hopefully work ourselves up the table. We will be aiming to go one further in the Readers Cup having made the semi finals two years running. Twenty/20 cricket is something we all enjoy and will obviously be going all out to win the competition for the third season in a row."
