South African All Rounder Joins Netherfield Cricket Club



Dieter Klein

Netherfield Cricket Club swoop for South African All Rounder Dieter Klein as their new Professional for the 2015 campaign.

Dieter is a right handed bat and left arm medium fast bowler who played three games for Netherfield in 2011 as Sub Professional.

In his first game against Preston, he scored 42 runs, returning figures of 0-32, took a catch. His second was against Fleetwood where he scored 81 runs in a game where Marc Brown got his first century.

Dieter got injured whilst batting in that game and was unable to bowl. Despite the injury he went on to take two catches.

In his last game against The Lancashire Colts, the match was washed out with the visitors on 59-5. Dieter returning figures of 3-23 from 9 overs, all three caught behind wicket he also took a catch.

Netherfield went on to win the two out of the three games that were competed

He spent last season at Stokesley in the North East Premier League taking 57 wickets.

Dieter currently plays for North West in South Africa, where he recently impressed with figures of 8-72.

He joins the club looking to have a successful season with the ambition to climb up the League table and compete at the top end of the Division.
