Its Round 6 of The Northern Premier Cricket League sponsored by Chorley Building Society, and if the first five rounds are anything to go by it promises to be another exciting weekend of action.
Division 1
Blackpool yet again lead the way at the top of the Division, Paul Danson's side are looking the team to beat even at this early stage of the season as they welcome Kendal to Stanley Park.
This game could be interesting with both sides having a very strong bowling attack. Blackpool's well known attack of Christi Viljeon and Richard Gleeson continues to work well, whilst Kendal have put their emphasis on the bowling as they look to emulate what Blackpool have achieved.
Kendal's attack of Eldred Hawken and Saeed Bariwala looks dangerous, whilst Stu Parkin and Chris Miller continue to take wickets.
At Birch Hall, Darwen entertain Fleetwood. These are two teams that have ambitions on League honours, however they will be keen to bounce back from their defeats last weekend. Darwen have had a lot of disruption with their professional situation, but are still a very dangerous side to face.
Fleetwood have a strong squad with the likes of Adam Parker, Ian Holland and Australian Professional David King within their ranks.
Morecambe host Barrow at Woodhill Lane. Morecambe tasted defeat for the first time last weekend losing at Chorley, however despite the setback they have made a good start to the season. Barrow have had a mixed start but still look dangerous.
Parkside Road sees Netherfield entertain Chorley, whilst Penrith host St Annes, with inform Lancaster looking for yet another win travel to play bottom of the table Preston. Lancaster undefeated have completely turned around their fortunes from last season's struggles.
SUNDAY:
The Twenty-20s are in full swing as Barrow face a double header in The North 1 group as they entertain both Penrith and Netherfield, with the Netherfield game starting at 4pm.
Netherfield are looking to defend their title.
DIVISION TWO:
In Division Two, Barrow host Morecambe, Chorley entertain Netherfield, Kendal play host to Blackpool, Lancaster face Preston at Lune Road, whilst St Annes face Penrith at Vernon Road.
