Fleetwood sign exciting all rounder from South Africa
Fleetwood Cricket Club today confirmed the signing of young South African All Rounder Juan-Pierre De Villiers as Club Professional for the 2014 campaign. He plays for the Titans Franchise in South Africa as well as Northerns Cricket Club and is an all rounder who bowls fast and bats in the lower middle order.
Juan-Pierre's best bowling figures are 5-21, and has a high score of 103. He is a team mate of ex Netherfield Professional Cobus Pienaar.
In a statement by the club: "From the outset we identified the need for a bowling allrounder and JP ticks all the boxes. Juan-Pierre has had previous experience in England before playing for Eckington Cricket Club in Derby.
We spoke with the Captain of Eckington who gave a glowing reference for JP, saying that he was a genuine quick bowler who also contributed valuable runs in the middle order.
JP is very excited to be returning to the UK and inparticular to Fleetwood, where he hopes to contribute with the clubs success both on and off the field"
