Chorley Cricket Club Season Preview

Chorley aim for consistency as they enter into the 2014 Northern Cricket League campaign. They have a similar squad to last season, However they have signed Mohammed Jamal as this seasons club professional.

Andy Holdsworth looks forward to the new campaign

" We are very much looking forward to the start of the season here at Chorley CC. We have a similar squad to last season with the addition of one or two players most noteably a new professional in Mohammed Jamal from Read CC.

Jamal looks a class act from what we have seen so far and will add the solidity we have been looking for in our batting line up.

In addition we expect to have the sevices of Jack Catterall for most of the season which is like the signing of a new player. Furthermore we have managed to maintain former professional Gaurav Dhar as a player due to his passion and desire to play for Chorley.

The league will be extremely challenging this season with lots of teams spending big and recruiting heavily. We will go about our business as usual and look to be consistent in all areas which has perhaps been our weakness of late.

We want to transfer our cup form from the National Knockout in to the domestic competitions and look to win some long awaited silverware which i fully believe we are capable of doing so"
