Aussie allrounder signs for Chorley



Brenton McDonald signs for Chorley

Chorley Cricket Club have acquired the services of Australian All Rounder Brenton McDonald as their Club Overseas Amateur for the 2015 campaign.

McDonald is a former Redbacks player and the younger brother of former Australian All rounder Andrew who is now Leicstershire's Head Coach.

Brenton has been a star performer in Premier Club Cricket and has featured for The South Australian Redbacks and Melbourne Renegades.

In 2012/13 McDonald courtesy of his exploits in The Victorian Premier Cricket Competition was awarded the Jack Ryder medal culminating with a Redbacks call up.

McDonald has scored 3208 runs and taken 231 wickets across 150 grade matches in both Melbourne and Adelaide.

He has played six seasons in England and Ireland, Last season he was the second leading wicket taker in The East Anglian Premier League.
