DIVISION ONE:

KENDAL v LANCASHIRE COLTS

The Lancashire Colts will play St Annes in the final of The Readers Cup following a bowl out victory at Kendal on Sunday. The victory means that St Annes will now host the Readers Cup Final after The Colts denied Kendal the opportunity of staging the event.

Rain throughout the night and through most of the day made the Shap Road playing surface unplayable and despite the best attempts of the Club, it was agreed that a bowl out would take place.

In the end The Colts triumphed, with Kendals Stu Parkin, Darren Braithwaite and Nick Lewthwaite the only 3 able to hit the stumps.

Agony for Kendal, not an ideal way to lose out.

DIVISION TWO:

CHORLEY v BLACKPOOL

Division Two Chorley will face Leyland in The Readers Cup Final after defeating Blackpool by 31 runs. Chorley batting first closed on 159-8. Jack Bentham with 43 off 67 balls. Sam Owen returning figures of 4-23.

In reply, Blackpool were bowled out for 128 in 38.5 overs. Michael Mead with figures of 3-21.
