Thursday 29th May
Fleetwood v St Annes
Fleetwood win by 17 runs
Fleetwood won the toss and batted making 116-5 in their 20 overs. Adam Parker lead the way with 46 supported by Adam Shorrocks 21no and captain Mat Clark 19. Toby Bulcock had 2-7 in his 4 overs
In reply St Annes were all out for 99,only two batsmem reached double figures, Nathan Armstrong with 42 and Mitch Bolus at no 7 with 29. The Fleetwood bowlers had good figures Adam Parker 3-21, Naveed Yousaf 2-14 and Jean De Villiers 2-19
Leyland v Darwen
Darwen won by 35 runs
Darwen were asked to bat first and scored 144-7 in their 20 overs. The openers Amer Mirza 76 and John Cordingley 38 gave Darwen a great start. For Leyland captain David Makinson had 3-16 and son Andrew 3-25.
Leyland were bowled out in 18.3 overs, Nathan McDonnell with 28 was their top scorer, Kamran Anwar did the damage for Darwen with 4-19 and there was also 2 wickets each John Cordingley, George Linde and Greg Lawrenson
Friday 30th May
Netherfield v Kendal
Netherfield win by 9 wickets
Kendal won the toss and decided to bat. They were bowled out for 72 using all their 20 overs, only no 8 Nick Lewthwaite 12 and no 9 Adam Cowperthwaite 11no reached double figures. The Netherfield bowlers all had good returns.Saliya Saman 2-7, Tom Williamson 2-12, Bradley Earl 2-14 and Marc Brown 2-20
The Netherfield reply was short and sweet reaching 74 - 1 in only 6.5 overs. professional Saliya Saman followed his good bowling spell with 31no and Ben Phillips made 25no
Penrith v Barrow
Barrow win by 23 runs
Due to traffic congestion the match was reduced to 18 overs each side. Barrow won the toss and elected to bat. In their allotted overs the reached 130-8, Sam Dutton with 60 supported by Graham Dawson 26 and a late order spurt from Daryl Wearing with 20. Jonathon Osborne was Penrith's best bowler with 4-23 and Kriss McLean had 2-9
When Penrith batted they made 107-9 in their 18 overs. Professional Paul Hindmarch opened and gave them a good start with 50 and Karanjit Bansal 18, Nicky Burns 14 and Kieron Trvaskis 14no strived to give the home side a win but were 23 runs short. For Barrow Daryl Wearing took 3-15, Greg Reynolds 3-27 and Graham Dawson 2-17
Morecambe v Preston
Preston won by 8 wickets
Morecambe batted first and were 7-2 with Andrew Starkie 2-5 taking out the two openers. Kelly Smuts 37 helped Morecambe to 112-7 after 20 overs
Preston started off in the same vain and were 13-2 but Moshin Mohdi 51no and Soyeb Dukanwala 49no saw Preston home on 114- 2 in 17.4 overs
Sunday 1st June
Barrow v Penrith
Both sides scored 110 but Penrith win on least wickets lost
The return match from Friday turned out to be a nail biting finnish. Barrow batted first and scored 110-8 in 20 overs. Kaustubh Pawar top scored with 49 and Chris D'Leny chipped in with 20. All the Penrith bowlers did well, Jonathon Osborne took 3-34, Greg Hall 2-29 and Ben Davidson 2-23 but the accolades should also go to Jack White 1-5 in 4 and Karajit Bansal 0-9 in 4
Penrith were 110-5 after their 20 overs Alex Atkinson 42no was the foundation for the win because Penrith had lost 3 less wickets than Barrow
