ECB CLUBMARK
Following on from the review process conducted by the ECB into ECB Clubmark. The response rate was so much higher than expected, which meant it has taken a bit longer for the review to be processed.
The review has provided a vital insight into how clubs view the Clubmark process and how the ECB should move forward with it. A further update will be sent about the review and its findings, as well as how the ECB plans to implement changes to the process.
Given the excellent and detailed response to the consultation, the ECB will be making the significant changes ready for the autumn not sooner. For this 2014 season there will be only be changes to any out of date references in the folder. All the changes in response to the consultation will be rolled out this autumn.
2014 Summer Changes
The USB stick will not be circulated with files this summer as a pilot. We will be placing the relevant resources on the Club Support Website so that the support is still available but it will hopefully direct clubs to this new site which can be, and is, helpful to them beyond Clubmark. If this is not well received, we will put the USB stick back in to the files in the winter.
Criteria 1.2 and 1.3 in the safeguarding section of the evidence file checklist have been merged and updated as Time to Listen is no longer valid. Hopefully the merger will make things clearer, but it does mean that all subsequent numbers in that section have moved up one as a consequence.
There are some text amends to reflect new support, or changes to programmes. None of these change any criteria but they will be very slightly different to older files. The changes are in the following locations:
Evidence File 1.3 in the support section - new web address
Evidence File 1.5 in the criteria section - wording has been simplified
Evidence File 2.2 in the support section - product removed
Evidence File 2.5 in the support section - references updated
Evidence File 2.7 in the criteria section - clarity on new courses
Evidence File 4.1 in the support section - product removed as per 2.2 above
Question 1 from the site visit checklist has also been updated to reflect the removal of Time to Listen.
References to club development plans are still in the file, but there are no references to the Play-Cricket.com club development planning section, thus giving clubs clarity on their choice of how to create and develop their club development plans.
It is anticipated that the folders will be with CCB's before Easter and will then be distributed to clubs. The ECB website will be updated with the revised content next week.
Thank you for your continued support.
