After an interesting opening weekend, The Northern League enters into it's 2nd weekend!, as all clubs will be looking to push on from the opening day.
DIVISION ONE:
In one of the main matches of the weekend, Barrow entertain Kendal at Ernest Pass, both sides will be without their Professionals, for Barrow they will be using the services of Travis Townsend for Saturdays match, however they are hopeful of signing Australian Jonathan Wells as their permanent Professional for the season.
As for Kendal, they are still waiting on the arrival of Alex Doolan, Paperwork is holding him up and the club are not sure when he is likely to come. Without Doolan they have called on the services of South African Ryan Canning for the game.
Barrow of course will be looking to build from their opening day win at Fleetwood, as for Kendal it's all about bouncing back from the defeat to Chorley. Kendal will be without Terry Hunte for the game due to work commitments, Shane Hyland gets a call up into the first team.
The team from Ernest pass also play on Sunday when they host The Lancashire Colts, Barrow calling upon the services of Sri Lankan Saliya Saman who currently pro's for Carlisle.
At Parkside Road, Netherfield host Darwen, Netherfield keen to build on the opening day performance at St Annes. Craig Walmsley called into the first team, joining Scott Clement and Ryan Wilson making their first home starts for a few years since returning to the club. Colin Ackermann also making his home debut for Marc Brown's team.
As for Darwen they are still waiting on the arrival of Alan Kruger as they call upon the services of Shadley Van Schalkwyk, who currently pro's for Colne Cricket Club.
At Lune Road Lancaster host Leyland, Lancaster have Pieter Malan as Sub Professional for the game. Malan hitting 122 in the winning draw at Darwen last week
Leyland go to Lune Road on the back of a victory over Morecambe, as they look to build on their opening day success.
In the other games, St Annes travel to Blackpool, whilst Chorley entertain Morecambe with Gaurav Dhar looking for more wickets as he picked up 8 for Chorley in the win at Kendal last weekend.
Defending Champions Fleetwood will be aiming to bounce back from their opening day defeat when they travel to play Preston.
DIVISION TWO:
Defending Champions Leyland will be looking to bounce back from defeat as they entertain Lancaster at Fox Lane. Lancaster got a losing draw in their home game with Darwen with Danny Welbourne top scoring with 54
In the other games St Annes host Blackpool, Kendal entertain Barrow, Darwen host Netherfield, Fleetwood host Preston and Moecambe entertain Chorley
