The Semi Finals of The Readers Cup were finalised Netherfield entertain Blackpool and Leyland hosting Barrow. The ties are to be played on Sunday 4th August
QUARTER FINAL ROUND UP
Netherfield v Preston
Netherfield advanced to the Semi Finals of The Readers Cup after a comfortable 95 run victory over Preston.
Marc Brown and Ben Barrow both starting the innings well as Netherfield raced to 84-0. Both looked in good touch as Preston struggled, however from such a great start, Netherfield then lost two quick wickets, leaving them on 84-2.
Ben Barrow the first to go for 45 off 51 balls after being bowled by Soyeb Dukanwala, Marc Brown followed falling for 37 off 45 being LBW to Andrew Starkie,

Further wickets fell as John Huck was caught and bowled by Andrew Starkie for 0 followed by Greg Hall who was caught by Soyeb Dukanwala again off Andrew Starkie, leaving Netherfield in trouble on 99-4
Shane Dixon had a cameo of 12 off 20 balls before being caught and bowled by Soyeb Dukanwala as Netherfield struggled on 114-5. However Colin Ackermann and Brendan Herron saved the day as Netherfield steadied the ship, Ackermanns knock off 69 off 65 balls coming at a crucial time, whilst Brendan Herron also batted well for his 25 off 28 balls.
Once Herron was out LBW to Andrew Starkie the score was 179-7, Ackermann and Nathan Dixon pushed the score past 200, before Colin Ackermann fell after being caught by Javaid Hussain off the bowling of Usman Alam. Nathan Dixon and Brad Earl saw the innings to a good score of 237-8
In reply, Netherfield were never really in trouble, despite Soyeb Dukanwalas 37 off 53 balls and Sajid Patels 30 off 43 balls.

Marc Brown bowled the dangerous Soyeb Dukanwala and mopped up the tail to finnish with 4-12 to secure the win for Netherfield. The wickets were shared amongst the bowlers Brad Airey 2-31, Shane Dixon 1-21, Colin Ackermann 1-14 and Brad Earl 1-32 as Preston were all out for 142 in 35.3 overs.

Blackpool v Fleetwood
Blackpool pulled off a surprise 8 wicket win over Fleetwood at Stanley Park. Fleetwood struggled batting first and were bowled out in 35.5 overs for 108.
Chris Stanhope was Fleetwood's top scorer with 44 off 62 balls, Liam Livingstone stepping in as Sub Profesisonal for the hosts returned figures of 4-11.
In reply Blackpool knocked the runs off in 20.5 overs, Liam Livingstone with an unbeaten 53 off 56 balls and Stephen Twist with an unbeaten 38 off 38 balls.
Chorley v Barrow
Barrow won by 13 runs at Chorley,the visitors were restricted to 188-8 off 40 overs,Michael Wellings top scoring with 51 off 52 balls,whilst Ryan Brown scored 47 off 54 balls. Chorley's Billy Smith taking 3-26.
In reply Chorley were 175-8 off their 40 overs, Ian Dickinson with 68 off 81 balls. Gary Collins was the pick of The Barrow bowlers with figures of 3-32.
Leyland v Lancashire Colts
Leyland booked their place in the Semi Finals of The Readers Cup following a 4 wicket win over the Lancashire Colts.
The Colts were bowled out for 134 in 39.3 overs, Haseeb Hameed with 43 off 77 the top scorer for The Colt's. Tayyab Afsar took 4-32 for Leyland.
Leyland knocked off the runs in 32 overs reaching 139-6, Luis Reece setting the platform with 34 off 32 balls, whilst Daniel Lamb 29 off 46 balls,Karl Cross 28 off 41 balls and James Rounding 20 off 34 balls saw the hosts home

Darwen v Preston
Darwen defeated Preston by 8 wickets to book their place in the Semi Finals of The Readers Cup.
Preston batted first and were bowled out for 116, Syed Ajmal Abbas Shah was Preston,s top scorer with 34. Zac Whalley with 5-28 doing the damage for Darwen.
The hosts after the loss of an early wicket easily reached their winning total of 118-2 Reece Davies was unbeaten 52.
Fleetwood v Blackpool
Fleetwood are through after a 108 run win over Blackpool
The top Fleetwood batsmem were Alex Ryder 72 off 73 balls, Andy Singleton with 63 off 58 balls, and Wayne Clarke 56 off 57 ball, Fleetwood innings was closed on 229-7.
Matthew Middlehurst 3-44 and Sam Owen 3-41 were the pick of the Blackpool bowlers.
Blackpool were 123-9 after their 40 overs, Matthew Houston scoring 22 off 49 balls and Adam Breakall taking 4-25 for Fleetwood
Morecambe v Leyland:
Leyland booked their place in the Semi Finals of The Readers Cup, following a 53 run win at Morecambe.
Leyland were 177-6 after their allotted overs, Tom Reece with 62 off 90 balls and Dale Vardy with 60 off 68 balls the main contributors to the Leyland total. Irfan Quyyam returning figures of 3-17 for Morecambe
Morecambe were bowled out in 36 overs for 124, Adam Derham the top scorer for Morecambe with 35 off 48 balls and Alex Williams taking 3-36 for the visitors.
Barrow are to play Chorley in the remaining match next Sunday 28th July
