The Northern Cricket League enters into a busy Bank Holiday weekend of fixtures, as all teams will be looking to get back into action following the enforced break with the rain.
DIVISION ONE
League leaders Barrow, travel to West Cliff on Saturday where they face Sajid Patel's Preston.
Barrow will be using Pieter Malan as Sub Professional for Saturdays game, however their new Professional Jonothan Wells should be avaialble for their Bank Holiday Monday home game with St Annes.
Daryl Wearing's team will be looking to extend their lead at the top in both games, however Preston and St Annes will provide a tough test for the leaders.
Both are capable of getting results over the top sides, Preston have beaten Fleetwood this season, whilst St Annes are in good form, and are a major threat in the division.
Second placed Leyland will be keen to keep in touch with Barrow when they make the difficult trip to Blackpool on Saturday, before hosting Preston on Bank Holiday Monday.
Leyland are in red hot form at the moment and are up their with Barrow, Leyland have impressed, especially Luis Reece who continues to shine as Professional.
Marc Brown's Netherfield will be looking to get back into the swing of things at Fleetwood after seeing their last two home games rained off.
Fleetwood are finding this season hard since winning the league,however this could be a pivotal match for both sides, Netherfield keen to stay in touch with the top 2 whilst Fleetwood will be looking to start their season, with Fleetwood then facing Blackpool on the Monday
Netherfield then host Kendal in the local derby on Bank Holiday Monday, Kendal home to Lancaster on Saturday, with Ben Simms side using Ashair Zaidi as Sub profesisonal for the game. Zaidi comes in from Accrington and has pro'd at Netherfield in the past. Lancaster are hoping that Yannisar Kahn will be here next week.
In the other games, Morecambe host Darwen on Saturday before the derby at Lancaster on Monday.
Jordan Clarke's Darwen are then away to Chorley on Monday, with Chorley at St Annes on Saturday
