Here is the latest round of Readers Cup action from Sunday 16th June

READERS CUP DIVISION ONE

St Annes v Blackpool

Blackpool progressed to the next round of the Readers Cup after a surprise 8 wicket win at St Annes.

St Annes scored 194-6 off their 40 overs, Nathan Bolus 65 off 94 balls and Toby Bulcock with 58 off 66 balls for the hosts. Ben Eckton taking 3-30 for the visitors

In reply Blackpool eased home in 33.5 overs, John Mounsey with an unbeaten 78 off 105 balls and Craig Brown with 72 off 66 balls as Blackpool reach 195-2

Netherfield v Darwen

Netherfield eased into the next round of the cup after a 78 run victory over Darwen at Parkside Road.

Darwen putting Netherfield in, they made 190 for 8 in their allotted overs, John Huck was impressive with 78 off 88 balls.

The visitors shared the wickets, Andrew Cook 2-32,and John Cordingley 2-39 the main wicket takers.

Darwen were all out for 112 in 34 overs, Marc Hadwin with 3-28, Colin Ackermann 2-19, Ryan Wilson 2-11, and Greg Hall 1-5. John Cordingley offered the main resistance with 35 off 51 balls.


READERS CUP DIVISION TWO

Blackpool v St Annes

Blackpool defeated St Annes by 9 runs in The Readers Cup. Blackpool closing on 158-6 off 40.

Benjamin Heath with 45 off 57 balls and Sam Owen with a captains knock of 38 off 79 balls.

St Annes were all out for 149 in 39.1 overs, David Watson with 52 off 62 balls, Michael Tidmas 2-42, Sam Owen 2-17, Jake Muncaster 1-16,Chris Baines 1-23 and Jamie Thomson 1-23 took wickets for blackpool

Darwen v Netherfield

Darwen progressed to the next round with a 4 wicket win over Netherfield. Darwen were all out for 152 in 37.4 overs, Shane Dixon with 49, Hasan Nazir 34, and Callum Barratt 27 were Netherfields top scorers. Chris Crompton taking 4-15 for the hosts.

Darwen knocked off the runs in 38.2 overs reaching 154-6, Michael Douglas unbeaten with 57.
