Gaurav Dhar looking for more wickets for inform Chorley |
Its the final round of matches in the Northern League before the second half of the campaign begins.
Barrow and Leyland are both keen to bounce back following on from the dissapointments of the last weekend.
Lancaster on the other hand are having a fantastic season, up to third and closing in on the top 2, whilst Fleetwood have also climbed up the table after a poor start.
Andy Kellett's St Annes have also impressed and keep themselves in contention at the top.
For this weekend, Barrow host struggling Blackpool, who are on a losing run of form in the league. However Paul Danson's team did beat St Annes in the cup last Sunday a result which will give them confidence.
Barrow will be desperate to bounce back from the defeat at Netherfield, that said to not lose until now has taken a fantastic effort by Daryl Wearing's men.
Second placed Leyland should have beaten Kendal last weekend and to not bowl them out when they were 9 wickets down will be seen as a missed opportunity. This weekend they face Darwen at Fox Lane.
Darwen have had a mixed campaign, but are always a thret especially with John Cordingley in the team.
In the other games, Two inform teams go head to head when League Champions Fleetwood entertain Chorley at Broadwater.
Kendal who are also in form entertain an improving Morecambe team, Netherfield travel to Preston, whilst St Annes entertain Lancaster
In Division Two, Barrow, St Annes and Morecambe are in contention, Darwen and Leyland will also feel that they are in with a chance at the top.
Barrow travelling to Blackpool in a tricky game, whilst Leyland go head to head with Darwen and Morecambe host Kendal.
The bottom two go head to head as Netherfields 2nds host Preston both desperate for the result. Preston going into the game following their first win of the season over Lancaster.
Netherfield are struggling and are keen to break their losing run of form in the league
