Double Pro Blow in the Northern League
Barrow pro Travis Head not available |
Its been confirmed that both Barrow and Darwen have to start looking for a new professional again after both their professIonals pulled out of moving to the Northern Premier League.
Barrow signed Australian Travis Head a few months ago, however it was revealed by Barrow skipper Daryl Wearing that Head has been awarded a scholarship by Cricket Australia. This of course means that the deal to bring the Australian Under 19 World Cup star to Ernest Pass fell through.
In Darwens case they had signed West Indian Jonathan Carter, however the West Indian Twenty-20 squad have called him up, which of course means that the club from Birch Hall are also on the hunt for a pro.
