The Northern League is braced for more bad weather, with heavy rain forecast over the weekend. In case we do get any play here is a preview of all the action which may or may not be taking place this weekend:
DIVISION 1:
Leyland have the weekend off, as Barrow, Fleetwood, Netherfield and Kendal look to take advantage at the top of the league in whats another huge weekend of Northern League Action.
League leaders Barrow will be keen to bounce back from their home set back to Leyland when they face a tricky away match at Blackpool.
The home loss to Leyland opened things up at the top with second placed Fleetwood increasing the pressure on Chris D'leny's team.
Fleetwood will be looking to close that gap on Barrow when they face bottom of the league Carnforth at Lodge Quarry.
Despite Carnforth sitting bottom, they will provide a tough test for Mat Clark's team.
Netherfield face a massive game when they host Morecambe at Parkside Road. Netherfield dropped to 4th after a frustrating winning draw at St Annes and face a Morecambe team that defeated Netherfield earlier in the season.
It's a must win game for the team from Parkside Road as they look to crank up the pressure on the top 2.
Kendal have been one of the inform teams of the league, as they travel to Birch Hall for a tough challenge against Darwen.
Chris Miller's team have impressed since the derby setback to Netherfield, they have been bowling sides out, and have seen Terry Hunte in fine form over the past few weeks, however Darwen will provide a stiff challenge, a side with the talent and potential to upset the top 4
For the rest, St Annes travel to Chorley on Saturday before hosting the Lancashire Colts on Sunday in The first round of The Readers Cup.
Whilst Preston play host to a resurgent Lancaster side at West Cliff
DIVISION 2:
For Division 2, Netherfield have been on an impressive winning streak and could go top with victory at Morecambe.
Barrow are also serious challengers sitting in second place as they host Blackpool. League Leaders Leyland have Saturday off but face Netherfields Seconds on Sunday in The Readers Cup at Fox Lane.
Kendal's Seconds also have two games, with a home clash with Darwen on Saturday before travelling to play Preston on Sunday in The Readers Cup
The rest of Division 2 sees Fleetwood hosting Carnforth, Lancaster entertaining Preston, and St Annes hosting Chorley.
Like I say every week, if their are any games I have missed please do let me know, and if the dreaded rain kicks in, please tweet this on Twitter or just fax through or email the card as confirmation
