Holdsworth Believes In Squad
Chorley skipper Andrew Holdsworth |
Chorley captain Andy Holdsworth believes his squad can challenge in all competitions this year.
When I asked Andy Holdsworth on his aims this season he said:
" My aims are to be as consistant as last season after struggling in 2010 it would be easy to get carried away with 2011, and take our foot off the gas and expect the same just to happen again!!
With 5 competitions including the 20/20 there is no reason why we can not secure a form of silverware, we definitley have the players to do so, and a squad were everyone contributes and we dont just rely on the pro and one other."
Chorley last year appointed local lad Gaurav Dhar has professional and he is keeping that role this season.
Holdsworth had this to say about Dhar:
"Having Gravy (Gaurav Dhar) as pro is excellent, as he is really passionate about the club and wants success for the club as much as everyone else around the club. Its ok splashing out thousands of pounds on overseas pro's but regardless of how much you pay them are they always going to have the club at heart and does the clubs success / future mean as much to them??"
Chorley will begin the campaign at home to Fleetwood.
