A look ahead to another exciting weekend in The Northern Cricket League

Its the second weekend of Northern League action as all teams will be looking to build and improve on their opening day games.
Here is a look ahead to what is going to be another interesting weekend in The Northern Cricket League:
In Division 1, defending champions St Annes play host to Chorley at Vernon Road. St Annes who ended up with a draw at Netherfield, will be without Dinuk Hettiarachchi for a second weekend this means that Martin Walters from Horwich CC will be sub professional for the afternoon. Chorley travel to Vernon Road keen to bounce back from their opening day defeat to Fleetwood.
At Shap Road, Kendal host Darwen, as Kendal professional Jamie How will be keen to build on his scintilating unbeaten knock of 160 in the victory at Carnforth. Darwen travel to Kendal without professional Shaun De Kock who is still awaiitng his work permit, MZ Kahn will be sub Professional for the afternoon.
Chris Williams who recently signed for Netherfield plays against his former team mates at Morecambe. Netherfield impressed in the winning draw with St Annes, whilst Morecambe will be looking to bounce back following the opening day defeat at Preston. Gareth Pedder who picked up 6 wickets in the defeat at Preston will be looking for more at the weekend!
Barrow play host to Blackpool at Ernest Pass, whilst Preston travel to play Lancaster at Lune Road.
Fleetwood who picked up a fantastic win at Chorley are also in action, as they play host to Carnforth at Broadwater.
On Sunday Leyland host the Lancashire Colts at The Stanning Memorial Ground, whilst Blackpool are in action again, when they host Baxenden in The Lancashire Cup.
