Scott says of his return
I have decided to return to Netherfield after 3 seasons away at Appleby which was a great experience , winning 2 trophies in my time their and passing on some of my knowledge and experience as well as meeting some great people was fantastic.
But its time to return home and hopefully help the next generation of cricketers coming through at Parkside rd.
"I feel as though alot of cricketers are being pushed into playing 1st team cricket to young, I was 20 when I first played, and now you see lads of 16/17 being chucked in at the "deep end" when maybe they are not quite ready, and so mentally it proves very tough for these lads, and it seems always to come down to player availability, rather than them being picked on merit, which I know im my younger days did'nt happen, but then again, young lads don't seem anywhere near as keen nowadays.
I have spoken to probably my two closest friends in cricket, the 2 who I've probably shared most "motorway miles" with, tommy and worm, (Tommy Prime and Craig Walmsley) they to have decided to have at least 1 more season so hopefully between us we can bring some "maturity" to the playing side of things and help the young lads along, as the practice facilities and the coaches at the club are some of the very best around,
