Heres a round up of the cricketing action, in the league and the cup competitions
Northern League Division 1:
Morecambe defeated the Lancashire Colts by 6 wickets at Woodhill Lane, Professional Umar Amins 5-34 and Gareth Pedder 5-22 bowling the Colts out for 96 in 41.3 overs.
Only Mark Friend for the Colt's made a contribution with 41 off 115 balls
The reply was comfortable as Morecambe reached 98-4 in 31 overs, Lewis Edge unbeaten with 22 off 36 and Ryan Pearson also unbeaten on 22 off 44.
Lancashire Cup:
Blackpool advance to the next round of the Lancashire Cup following a 6 wicket win at Greenmount.
Greenmount all out for 183, Asif Zakir 64 off 98 for the hosts, with Dale Deeb returning figures of 3-37. Richard Gleeson (2-36),Ben Eckton (2-30) and Steven Mercer (1-20)
Steven Twist's 69 off 66,and Dale Deebs 52 off 72 guided Blackpool into the next round reaching 187-4 in 38.5 overs
Heyside v Netherfield:
Netherfield bowed out of the Cup at Heyworth thanks to the Duckworth Lewis method.
John Masons team won the toss and opted to bat, as they were all out for 198. Chris Williams top scoring with 67! C Newton (3-26) and G Snyman (3-24) for the hosts
For the second innings the rain came in to ruin Netherfields chance of a win, as Duckworth Lewis came into play with Heyside needing 29 runs in 5.4 overs,as they reachied the required runs making 29 in 3.4 overs. Stu Dixon claimed 2 wickets with Cobus Pienaar taking both catches
Chorley defeated Leyland in the cup, further details to follow
