Leyland ace in 29-man squad

Leyland all rounder Luis Reece is included in
the Unicorns 29-man squad for this year's Clydesdale Bank

The Unicorns, made their debut in last season's
competition and recorded three victories; their squad
comprises players without first-class contracts and selection
is seen as the pinnacle for players in the recreational
game.
Reece played a leading role in Leyland's 2010
Furness Building Society Northern Premier Cricket League
(incorporating Readers Cricket Balls) championship success. He
scored 633 league runs and captured 44 league wickets.
A former Lancashire Second XI player, Reece

season and is currently studying at LeedsMet University.
The Unicorns have been drawn in Group C for this
year's CB40, alongside Nottinghamshire, Glamorgan,
Gloucestershire, Essex, Somerset and Lancashire.
Their opening match is against Lancashire at Old
Trafford on Sunday 24 April. The Unicorns' full fixture
list can be found here: http://www.ecb.co.uk/stats/fixtures-results/teams.html?Lt=2777&id=%2Fstats%2Ffixtures-results%2Fteams.html%3FLt%3D2777%26y%3D2011&y=2011
It's a busy time for Reece who has also been
chosen to attend a pre-season training camp in Abu Dhabi with
MCC Universities.
The MCCU players will be accompanied by the MCC
Young Cricketers for a ten day tour, which will involve
training and games at the Zayed international cricket

The players will be coached by current MCC Head
