St Annes' star batsman Atiq Uz-Zaman, the
League's outstanding amateur batsman for the last three
seasons is a man in demand.
The former Pakistan Test batsman/wicketkeeper,
now resident in Bolton has spent the winter months putting the
finishing touches towards completing his Level3 Coaching
qualifications. Already the club coach at St Annes, Atiq was
engaged in a similar role at Central Lancashire League side
Milnrow last season and has already earned several other high
profile coaching appointments at prominent local schools.
Atiq, who has lifted the League's amateur
batting awards in each of the last three seasons, has been
invited to represent Pakistan Legends against Indian Legends
in a charity Twenty20 game in Dubai Sports City.
He has also been invited to undertake preseason
work with the Greece national team for their preparation for a
forthcoming European tournament.
