Teams to try again next Sunday
Finals Day in the Jamie Heywood Twenty20 Cup sponsored by Latham Baxendale was abandoned after just eight balls had been bowled.
Hosts Morecambe, Kendal, Darwen and Blackpool will try again next Sunday 11am, 24th July) and hope for better weather.
After a delayed start at Woodhill Lane the first semi-final got underway at 11-30am.
Kendal were invited to bat after Morecambe skipper Mark Woodhead won the toss. They had made 6/1 off eight balls, losing Jon Miles caught behind by Lewis Edge off Chris Williams for 5 with pro Jamie How 1 not out, when rain swept the ground
With conditions soon rendered unplayable organisers decided to reschedule the Finals Day for a week's time.
Originally the reserve date was 14 August but this has had to be altered due to the ECB dates for their National Club Twenty20 competition. Winners of this competition enter the national stage which is due to start on 14 August.
