Saeed Bariwala is Preston's new pro for 2011

Preston CC have announced the successor to long-serving professional Bilal Asad.
Saeed Bariwala, an opening batsman and off-spin bowler will take over as professional for the 2011 season after his signing was confirmed by club officials.
Bariwala, a UK resident and friend of Preston CC captain Lukman Vahaluwala played for Skegness in the Readers Lincolnshire Premier League in 2010 scoring 530 runs at an average of 30.22, including four half-centuries. He also took 36 wickets at an average of 21.08 with a best return of five for 55. Skegness finished fourth in the league and Bariwala was their Player of the Year.
In 2009 Bariwala (who made his Skegness debut in 2006) hit 524 runs for the club at an average of 30.82 including five fifties and took 43 wickets at an average of 19.79. He was chosen as Skegness CC First XI Player of the Year after the club finished runners-up to Bracebridge Heath.

Pakistan all-rounder Bilal Asad played for Preston CC for five seasons between 2006 and 2010, scoring nearly 5,000 runs in league and cup, taking over 250 wickets and 60 catches.
Fleetwood, Lancaster and Barrow have still to confirm their professionals for the 2011 season.
Meanwhile Preston Second XI captain Moshin Patel has decided to stand down from the position and the Club will look to appoint a successor shortly. The popular Patel will remain as a member of the playing squad and also serve on the club committee.
