Chorley face a crucial weekend for their hopes of lifting the Furness Building Society Northern Premier Cricket League (incorporating Readers Cricket Balls) championship in both divisions.
Andy Holdsworth's side have made a remarkable revival after finishing second bottom to Lancashire Colts (who only played 13 games) in 2010; they currently trail only leaders St Annes (148 pts from 15 games) and defending champions Leyland (139 from 15) having reached 128pts from 13 games.
On Saturday Chorley are away at Blackpool and on Sunday play hosts to Lancashire Colts. This will be the last game for the Colts for performance analyst Jason Swift, the Colts captain who will move to join ex-Lancashire colleague Stuart Law on the coaching staff at Bangladesh.
St Annes have re-signed popular Sri Lankan pro Dinuka Hettiarachchi for another year; Atiq Uz-Zaman will also continue as club coach and so Andy Kellett's side have stability going into their game at Morecambe despite two recent defeats.
Leyland will be without wicketkeeper/batsman Adam Coates for the visit of Preston; Coates damaged a finger in last Saturday's win at St Annes. Mat Watkinson will return to the side.
Elsewhere Carnforth entertain Barrow, Darwen are at home to Kendal and Netherfield play Lancaster.

In Division Two defending champions Leyland are away at Preston. They have 172pts from 14 games and lead Chorley (141pts from 13 games) by 31 pts with Blackpool (p14-136pts) in third.
The Chorley-Blackpool game at Windsor Park is clearly fixture of the day in this division.
On Friday (15 July) the Northern League U21s entertain the MCC at Kendal CC. The MCC have called up Netherfield pro Ben Laughlin to deputise for Rudra Singh who is unavailable. Netherfield's Alex Atkinson captains the Northern League side which is managed by Clive Henderson.

Last Tuesday Cumberland, with seven Northern League players in their side, defeated Bedfordshire by four wickets in the Championship game at Sedbergh School.
Morecambe's Chris Williams was the match-winner with four second innings wickets and an unbeaten 68.
