Chorley Cricket Club have double cause for celebration after securing a new sponsorship deal and re-engaging popular professional Gaurav Dhar.
Dhar, 24, who spent several seasons at Lord's as a member of the MCC Young Cricketers came up through the ranks at Windsor Park has signed on for a second season after already taking over 50 wickets with his leg-spin in 2011.
Dhar has formed a fine spin bowling partnership with Iain Critchley which has been instrumental in the side's improved fortunes this season. Critchley has been re-engaged as Club Coach for 2012.
The sponsorship deal comes with Chorley Building Society, Lancashire's oldest building society and revives a tie-up between the two parties from the past.

"Back in the 1990s during the club's halcyon days we had a link with Chorley Building Society and I'm delighted that this has been revived," said Mr Mockett.
"We are a community based club with several junior teams and a true focus for the youngsters of Chorley and surrounding areas to get involved in cricket.
"The sponsorship will greatly assist our already thriving junior set-up at Chorley. As part of the package there will be a Junior and Senior Player of the Year presentation at the end of each season and our new sponsors will also use our function room on occasions throughout the year.

"Our first and second teams have both enjoyed successful seasons and demonstrate the core element pf our philosophy. Both sides contain many players that have come up through the juniors and the vast majority live within two miles of the ground. Our members and supporters enjoy watching locally produced players who have developed through the ranks and it all contributes towards the 'feel good' factor we have at the club."
Commenting on Dhar's re-engagement Mr Mockett said: "Gaurav has had a good season and is a popular member of the side. He has formed a good partnership with Iain which has helped us to win matches this season and also provide entertaining cricket. We are delighted that both players will be with us again next season."
On behalf of Chorley Building Society Stephen Penlington said: "We are a community based building society with two branches in Chorley and one in Leyland. We offer very attractive savings products for youngsters and are aiming to encourage savings habits from an early age. We feel we offer the best children's savings products on the market and this link-up with Chorley Cricket Club offers good opportunities for both parties.
"We aim to link up with like-minded organisations and Chorley CC have a proven track record of producing good quality cricketers through their junior set-up and encourage local youngsters to get involved in sport from an early age.
"As a mutual building society we need the support of our members in order to grow. We don't pay out dividends but instead can plough back some of the profits on community initiatives such as this one."
