Adam Parker was Fleetwood's hero in a thrilling last ball victory at Vernon Road in the Jamie Heywood Twenty20 Cup
Parker held his nerve to hit St Annes pro Dinuka Hettiarachchi for four and earn his side a thrilling six wickets win. Parker hit an unbeaten 64 off only 47 balls in Fleetwood's successful runs chase with Mark Wilkinson weighing in with 34 off 21 balls including three sixes.
Earlier Atiq Uz-Zaman bolstered St Annes' innings of 143/9 with a superb 78 off 46 balls with nine fours and two sixes.
Jon Miles returned to his old club Barrow and hit an unbeaten 45 off 50 balls in his side's nine wickets win at Ernest Pass. Barrow were bowled out for 92 in the last over, Chris Miller, Jamie How, Stu Parkin and Nick Lewthwaite each taking two wickets.
Morecambe began their campaign with victory over Lancaster by 46 runs at Woodhill Lane. Pro Anwar Ali's magnificent unbeaten 86 included three sixes and ten fours. Morecambe reached 176/5 and then restricted the visitors to 130/7.
Chorley skipper Andy Holdsworth made an undefeated 43 in his side's six wickets over Preston at Windsor Park. Preston were bowled out off the last ball of their innings for 105, Sajid Nalbandh top-scoring with 32 and Ben Harrison making 21 not out. Billy Smith took three early wickets to finish with 3/12 and spinner Iain Critchley collected 3/19.
Holdworth faced 46 balls and hit seven fours, putting on 60 for the second wicket with Will Moulton whose 31 included three sixes. Chorley sub Alex Howarth took two catches after Jack Catterall dislocated a finger in the field.
