Arrangements for the 2011 competition
The Clubs are arranged in groups as follows:
North 1 - Barrow, Kendal, Netherfield.
North 2 - Carnforth, Lancaster,
Morecambe.
South 1 - Blackpool, Fleetwood, St
Annes.
South 2 - Chorley, Darwen, Leyland,
Preston.
Fixtures are to be played home and away and the
League will draw up a mandate for fixtures for presentation at
the pre-season meeting.
In the event of rain, there will be a special
dispensation to rearrange fixtures which must be completed two
weeks before the final which will be staged on Sunday 17 July
2011.
The Twenty20 Finals Day will be staged at the
winners of the North 2 group.
It is the responsibility of Clubs to arrange the
group fixtures either on a weekday evening or a Sunday. These
must be fixed prior to the start of the season and published
on the League's website.
The League Committee suggests the following
timetable:
Round 1 by 27 May
Round 2 by 3 June
Round 3 by 10 June
Round 4 by 17 June
Round 5 by 24 June
Round 6 by 1 July
Finals Day will be staged at the ground of
the winners of North 2 group.
Group games must be completed by Sunday 3 July
2011, so arrangements can be made for the Finals Day. The
winners of the two North groups and the two South groups will
play each other in the semi-finals.
The Northern semi-final will take place in the
morning (11am), the Southern semifinal at 2pm with the Final
fixed for 5pm.
The host club for the Finals Day can recover
expenses from gate money, a raffle etc.
The administration of the competition will be
done through the website. It is important that the site is
kept up-todate with any fixture changes, results and
performances.
Home Club must fax the League score-sheet to the
website immediately after the game.
Clubs arrange their own umpires for the group
competitions. The League will appoint umpires for the
semifinals and the final.
The full rules and playing conditions of the
competition are in the Rules Section of the Handbook.
The League Committee decided that the
possibility of a void game is eliminated. If a game cannot be
completed according to the playing rules and there is no
possibility of a replay date, then the game will be decided by
a bowl-out or, as a last resort, the toss of a coin.
In the event of a Club failing to fulfil an
agreed fixture the Executive reserves the right to take
appropriate action against that Club.
The group winner will be the team with the
highest number of wins and, in the event of a tie, the team
with the highest run-rate.
