Colts win Fair Play Award in Division One

Chorley 2nds mark club's centenary season in style

Lancashire Colts marked their first season in the Furness Building Society Northern Premier Cricket League (incorporating Readers Cricket Balls) by finishing top of the Fair Play Table in Division One.

The Colts finished with an unblemished 100 percent record to lift the League's Fair Play award for Division One.

Based on umpires' markings throughout the season, in accordance with ECB guidelines for Premier Leagues, all the clubs in the League recorded marks higher than 93percent with an average of 97.2 percent.

Chorley celebrated their Centenary season by lifting the Fair Play Award in Division Two. Ian Mawdesley's side, who lifted the Readers Cup late in the season recorded marks of 99.6percent during the campaign

Netherfield top league pitches markings

Top honour for Parkside Road ground

Netherfield topped the Pitches markings in the 2010 Furness Building Society Northern Premier Cricket League (in association with Readers Cricket Balls).

Based on umpires' marks, in accordance with uniform ECB guidelines for Premier Leagues throughout the campaign Netherfield recorded an overall marking of 85.2percent, narrowly edging out St Annes (84.1percent) with Blackpool (80.4percent) in third.

Leyland were not only champions in Divisions One and Two but their outfield also topped the Umpires' ratings in the 2010 season.

Tommy Cummings' outstanding work on the Fox Lane ground was rewarded with top mark of 91.7percent with Chorley( 89percent) and St Annes (87percent) also figuring highly.

Three other clubs also recorded marks of 80percent and over during the season.
