Scratching Shed poised for Dream Team announcements

The inspiration behind the new-look Northern
Premier Cricket League yearbook and sponsor of the league's
Dream Teams and Division Two awards recently featured in a
major BBC documentary.
Tony Hannan, a director of Scratching Shed
Publishing, is a well-known cartoonist, writer and designer
whose critically acclaimed biography of Eddie Waring, entitled
"Being Eddie Waring: The Life and Times of a Sporting Icon"
(Mainstream, £14.99), formed the basis of a brilliant
hour-long documentary on the former BBC Rugby League
commentator and entertainer. Tony is interviewed extensively
on the programme.

Tony's company designed the league's handbook in
2010 which has been very well received and won praise from
many other leagues and from the ECB.
Scratching Shed sponsor some of the major awards
in the Northern League calendar.
Scratching Shed will soon be publishing their
Dream Teams for Divisions One and Two and also sponsor the
Division Two individual awards for batting, bowling,
wicketkeeping and fielding.
'It has been hugely rewarding to be involved in
such a vibrant and well supported cricket league this year,'
Tony said. 'I have been keeping a close eye on the games this
year and the creation of Dream Teams and individual awards for
division two players, alongside the well-established Castle
awards for division one, has certainly created a great deal of
interest.
'I am looking forward to the league's
presentation evening at Leyland Golf Club on 8th October when
I'll have the opportunity to meet many of the award
winners.'
