The Furness Building Society Northern Premier League (in association with 3D Sports) gets underway this Saturday (18 April) with the first round of games

Champions Netherfield sit out the weekend and so title challengers Blackpool and Morecambe, who meet in the game of the day at Stanley Park, have an opportunity to steal a march on their rivals. With many clubs anxiously awaiting the arrival of overseas professionals several sub professionals could be pressed into action this weekend.

One club with no such worries is Carnforth whose English all-rounder Gareth Pedder makes his professional bow against Fleetwood at Lodge Quarry.Team news to follow when available.
