LEAGUE GAMES AND FINALS FALL FOUL OF WEATHER

Everything off

No, not Stanley Park boating lake- but Blackpool Cricket Club

Both scheduled finals in the Northern Premier Cricket League have fallen foul of the dreadful weather.

Sunday's Furness Building Society Cup Final between Morecambe and Preston at Woodhill Lane and the Division Two Final at West Cliff between Preston and Darwen were postponed on Friday evening.
Both games will now be re-scheduled for Sunday 14 September (1pm starts).
If no play is possible then a bowl-out will be required to determine the winners of each competition.

Rain looks likely to decimate Saturday's league programme with several games, including those at Blackpool, Leyland and Preston already called off and all the others subject to morning inspections.

Blackpool's Stanley Park is under water and next Saturday's fixture against Chorley is already in doubt.
