FIXTURES SUNDAY 3RD AUGUST
DIVISION ONE

FLEETWOOD v BARROW

Barrow as Sat except Heffernan, Bamber and G Kermode for Allington, Miles and Bayman

KENDAL v BLACKPOOL

Kendal unchanged

Blackpool spokesperson Andy Griffiths reports:
With no game on Saturday, our 1st XI are hoping that Carnforth can keep Kendal off top spot ahead of the "game of the day" between the top two in Division One at Shap Road on Sunday.
Luis Reece, in fine form all season, with both bat and ball, pays the penalty for a bout of indiscipline in the 20-20 final last weekend, by sitting out a one-game club imposed suspension. Whilst Luis will undoubtedly be missed, this will provide an opportunity for our other young players to perform to the standards which Luis has been setting all season, and take responsibility to bat for a long period. Steve Mercer will deputise for Reece, whilst Chris Taylor retains his place in an otherwise unchanged side.

Blackpool v Kendal

Blackpool spokesperson Andy Griffiths reports:
With Andy Griffiths unavailable due to a Christening, and Steve Mercer called into the 1st XI, the 2nd XI will be captained in the Home game against Kendal by veteran off-spinner David Booth. Boothy is able to call upon Craig Outram, who has missed the last 2 games with a neck injury which has cost him his 1st team place, and John Caunce, who is promoted from the 3rd XI to bolster the batting and keep wicket with impressive young 15 year-old Ben Heath (17 victims in 9 games and 92 runs at 23.00) on holiday.
Nicky Wall retains his place after a welcome 25 runs opening the batting last weekend, whilst youngtsters Jarred Bain and Harrison Clark will take their places in the middle order, Harrison for his second call up of the season, on the back of some excellent all-round performances, particularly with the bat, in the 3rd XI and Sunday XI.
