THIS WEEK'S CONFIRMED T20 FIXTURES

Tuesday 24 June
Leyland v Chorley

Friday 27 June
Darwen v Leyland
Lancaster v Morecambe

Furness v Barrow (Memorial game at Furness CC). Barrow spokesman Ian Allington reports:
On Friday we play local rivals Furness in a T20 game for the Pearcey/Daly Trophy in memory of two lads who both played at Furness but died within 12months of each other four or five years ago.
Grant Pearcey and John Daly were both fierce competitors and loved the derby games against ourselves, so when we moved into the Northern League we decided it would be good idea to maintain the local rivalry with them. So we devised the trophy which is played for annually and any money raised on the night is given to a charity, usually one which supports some form of local sport. This year it's being held at Furness CC with a 6.15pm start.

LEAGUE

The league season reaches its halfway point on Saturday and after last week's washout the teams will be looking to end June in style.
Kendal take a two-point lead to West Cliff to play Preston while second-placed Blackpool face an equally intriguing game at Chorley. Third-placed Leyland, just six points behind the leaders, travel to Lune Road to play Lancaster.
Reigning champions St Annes, currently fourth, are at home to Carnforth in what looks likely to be a high-scoring game. There's a mid-table clash at Parkside Road where Netherfield play Morecambe and the game of the day could well be at Birch Hall where the teams currently in the bottom two meet as Darwen host Fleetwood in what is sure to be a keenly contested encounter.
Barrow have no game.

Team news to follow when available.

Top two clash at Stanley Park in Division Two

DIVISION TWO FIXTURES

Game of the day, without a doubt, in Division Two is at Stanley Park where new leaders Blackpool entertain Chorley.
Blackpool went top on Sunday as a result of a 12-point win over Fleetwood in a rearranged game. They lead Chorley by one point but have played one game more. With third-placed Barrow inactive fourth-placed St Annes have a chance to make up ground when they visit bottom placed Carnforth. Division Two fixtures (Second XI)

BLACKPOOL v CHORLEY

Blackpool spokesperson Andy Griffiths reports:
Our 2nd XI host Chorley in the "Game of the Day" in the Northern Premier League 2nd Division, where 1st faces 2nd in a top of the table clash both teams will be out to win. With Blackpool playing games early it is important we get points on the board and create a gap for the 2 weeks we will be without a game in August, hence the importance of last weekend's win against Fleetwood with opener Nicky Wall in fine form to post his maiden 2nd XI half-century.
With Mike Taylor and Luke Melville still on holiday, and the 1st XI call-ups for Michael Penney and Ben Heath, Blackpool welcome back Prashant Aga who has missed the last 4 games, and Jarred Bain, who despite being named in the 1st XI last weekend, has yet to play in the 2nd XI this season. Will Norris and John Caunce will continue in the 3rd XI, whilst captain Andy Griffiths is forced to keep wicket.
