Twist in line for double award
St Annes' Stephen Twist is in the running for a double award this season |
At the halfway stage of the season Stephen Twist, the St Annes all-rounder, is in with a good chance of winning the Castle Amateur Awards for batting and bowling in Division One.
Matthew Castle of Castle Financial & Mortgage Services, Penwortham, Preston presents annual awards in four categories.
Last season the winners were Chris Parry (724 runs), Lukman Vahaluwala (49 wickets), Mark Lomas (20 catches) and Ikram Ullah (36 wicket-keeping dismissals).
Twist trails Chorley's Josh Tolley by 35 runs but leads the bowling table. St Annes captain Duncan Whalley leads the wicket-keeping table and Morecambe captain Mark Lomas is again top fielder.
Josh Tolley leads the D1 batting list for amateurs so far |
