The Netherfield Nomads won the 2013 TWP Wealth Twenty-20 Cup after overcoming both Preston and Darwen on Twenty-20 finals Day in front of a jam packed crowd at Parkside Road.
It was a fantastic day of cricket played in great spirit by all teams on what was a red hot day in the Lake District.
1st Semi-Final
Netherfield Nomads v Preston
Netherfield entertained Preston at 11 am in the first semi final, and dominated throughout the game winning by 67 runs.
Preston opted to put Netherfield in with the host team were in complete command closing on very good score of 219-1.
South African Professional Colin Ackermann hititng an unbeaten 106 off just 56 balls. John Huck also on form with an unbeaten 76 off just 43 balls.
Ackermanns century included 11 fours and 5 sixes, whilst Hucks unbeaten 76 came with 4 fours and 5 sixes.

Craig Walmsley also batted well for 22 off 21 balls, setting the early platform for Netherfield to push on.
Preston in reply battled gamely,through the impressive Ben Harrison who hit a half century of 52 off 62 balls falling to Colin Ackerman who had figures of 1-12. Professional Soaib Dukanwala did well making 28 off 21 balls.
Netherfield though were in control, Nathan Chambers 4-25 was the main highlight, whilst Marc Hadwin also returned figures of 2-34, as Preston fell short on 152-8.
2nd Semi-Final
Fleetwood v Darwen
Their was an upset in the second semi final as defending TWP WEalth Twenty/20 Champions Fleetwood fell to Darwen losing by 24 runs.
Darwen batting first started the game well, with John Cordingley hitting a half century top scoring on 55 off 101 balls. The Cordingley and Alan Kruger partnership (Kruger putting on 29 runs), had Jordan Clarke's team in command.
The team from Birch hall then suffered a collapse going from 102-3, to 132-9. Joe Bell 3-21 and Keiran McGann 3-6 the main bowlers.

In reply the defending champions struggled as Darwen stunned Fleetwood by taking early wickets and having them at 16-4.
Fleetwood did fight back through Adam Sharrocks 38 but Alan Kruger with figures of 4-10 did the damage for for Darwen and Fleetwood were all out for 108.
Final
Netherfield v Darwen
Netherfield won the TWP Wealth Twenty/20 Final overcoming Darwen by 7 wickets.
Darwen opted to bat and struggled reaching 124-7 from their twenty overs
Good bowling and fielding by Netherfield restricted Jordan Clarke's team. The wickets were shared Marc Hadwin 2-1, Nathan Chambers 2-23, Brad Earl 1-19 and Colin Ackermann 1-26.
Darwen skipper Jordan Clarke hit an unbeaten 31 off 22 balls guiding his side to a score of 124-7.

In reply Netherfield raced out of the blocks, with Colin Ackermann impressing with a top scoring 44 off 29 balls.
Darwen did fight back dismissing Craig Walmsley, Colin Ackermann and then John Huck, mainly thanks to John Cordingley who returned figures of 3-22.
However Captain Marc Brown saw his team home to victory hitting an unbeaten 32 off 22 balls, with Ben Barrow giving suppor with an unbeaten 24 off 27 balls.
South African Professional Colin Ackermann won the Man of the Tournament thanks to his century in the 1st game and his 44 in the final.
Netherfield now go onto host The ECB Area Finals on Sunday August 11th
