Carlisle won the toss at Edenside and invited the visitors to bat first, Zak Willox and Xander Eyre came out to bat but they got off to a terrible start Xander Eyre bowled by Ben Purdham for 0 (1 ball), 4-1. Luke Hands was in at three and with Willox were going well, Ben Purdham claimed his second wicket Zak Willox caught and bowled for 72 (106 balls)(10x4), 131-2.
Sam Oldham joined Hands and they kept the run rate up until Nico Watt had Luke Hands caught by Ben Davidson for 71 (116 balls)(6x4), 173-3. Jacob Wright was the new batsman and with Oldham saw Leyland close on 237-3 in their 50 overs, Sam Oldham was 58no (54 balls)(6x4) and Jacob Wright 24no (24 balls)(2x4).
The Carlisle bowling was Ben Purdham took 2-53 from 15 overs, Nico Watt 1-82 off 15, Brodie Glendinning 0-13 from 5, Ben Davidson 0-40 off 5 and Calum Crowe 0-47 from 10.
The Carlisle opening pair got the innings off at a good rate, Zephania Arinaitwe was the first to fall caught by Zak Willox off Liam Hurt for 17 (17 balls)(2x4), 24-1. The hosts number three was Brodie Glendinning and with Marc Brown had nearly doubled the score when Taj Ballantyne was introduced into the attack, in his second over he had Marc Brown stumped by Jacob Wright for 20 (39 balls)(1x4,1x6), 47-2.
The new batsman was Calum Rowe and with Glendinning were going well, Luke Hands made the breakthrough trapping Calum Rowe lbw for 54 (58 balls)(5x4,1x6), 128-3. Ben Davidson was next in and continued the chase, Andrew Jacques broke the partnership, Ben Davidson caught by Taj Ballantyne for 27 (37 balls)(2x4), 189-4.
Mohammed Jamal came to the wicket but retired hurt after two balls from Liam Hurt, Matthew Brown replaced Jamal and went after the runs, Disaster for the hosts Brodie Glendinning was out caught by Sam Oldham off Liam Hurt for 63 (121 balls)(5x4), 197-5.
Alex Raybould joined Brown but Andrew Jacques struck for the visitors taking two wickets in two balls, he bowled Alex Raybould for 2 (4 balls), 204-7, next ball incoming batsman Nic Watt was bowled for 0 (1 ball), 204-7.
Logan Edgar came to the wicket with Carlisle needing 34 runs from 15 balls for victory, Matthew Brown lead the way but fell 3 runs short of victory as Carlisle closed on 235-7 in their 50 overs, Matthew Brown was 34no (3x4,1x4) and Logan Edgar 2no (2 balls).
For Leyland Andrew Jacques took 3-67 from 13 overs, Liam Hurt 2-51 off 15, Luke Hands 1-24 from 8, Taj Ballantyne 1-41 off 8, Will Smith 0-19 from 3, Karl cross 0-27 off 5.

Longridge v St Annes
St Annes won the toss at the Newsham Memorial ground and put the hosts into bat, Joshua Mullin 28no (35 balls)(3x4,1x4) and Rhys Morgan 59no (39 balls)(7x4,3x6) were unbeaten with the score on 97-0 in 12 overs when the rains came and the match abandoned.
The St Annes bowling figures were Zain Abbas 0-12 from 2, Muhammed Patel 0-19 off 4, Rory Urquhart 0-30 from 3 and Lukman Vahaluwala 0-30 off 3.
Netherfield v Settle
Netherifled won the toss at Parkside Road and asked the visitors to bat first, They lost an early wicket Benjamin Hulse bowled by Isaac Medhurst for 4 (11 balls), 15-1. Number three was Andre Roach and with Will Davidson were scoring at over 4 an over, Abdu Dayyaan Gakiem struck having Will Davidson caught by Oli Wileman for 16 (17 balls)(3x4), 27-2.
John Davidson was the incoming batsman and the scoreboard was ticking over, Harry Lee was brought on to bowl and with his second ball bowled John Davidson for 0 (20 balls), 47-3. Next in was Sunny Singh. Andre Roach went after Oliver Sanday hitting him for three consecutive fours but on the next ball he was caught by Charlie Parkinson for 37 (38 balls)(6x4,1x6), 59-4.
James Snowden joined Singh but two runs later Oliver Sanday struck again, Sunny Singh caught by John Huck for 0 (9 balls), 61-5. Joe Pickles was the incoming batsman but he soon lost Janes Snowden caught by Abdu Dayyaan Galiem off Harry Lee for 1 (18 balls), 64-6.
Noah Smith replaced Snowden, Abdu Dayyaan Galiem was brought back into the attack and in his first over bowled Noah Smith for 5 (6 balls), 70-7. Harry Snowden was the new batsman and with Joe Pickles took the score past the hundred only for both to fall, Harry Snowden was the first to go caught behind by Richard Everett off Isaac Medhurst for 12 (28 balls)(2x4), 105-8, Harvey Green came to the wicket but one run later Joe Pickles was bowled by Oliver Sanday for 20 (41 balls)(3x4), 106-9.
Number eleven John Hughes became Harvey Green's partner and they steadily accumulated the runs, Oli Wileman broke the partnership bowling Harvey Green for 26 (28 balls)(4x4) as Settle were bowled out for 146 in 40 overs with John Hughes 12no (29 balls).
All the Netherfield bowlers took wickets, Oliver Sanday took 3-27 from 9, Harry Lee 2-15 off 5, Abdu Dayyaan Galiem 2-38 from 11, Isaac Medhurst 2-50 off 11 and Oli Wileman 1-15 from 4.
The rains came in the interval and the match abandoned.

LEAGUE MATCHES: ROUND 4
Carnforth v Barrow
Carnforth won the toss and invited the visitors to bat first, they got off to a bad start losing both openers early, Drew Postlethwaite went first caught by Freddie Whatmuff off James Parkinson for 6 (7 balls)(1x4), 6-1, Oliver Whalley came in at three but two runs later Simon Chadd was caught by Tom Parkinson off Dylan Conroy for 0 (13 balls), 8-2.
Hardus Coetzer was the new batsman and with Oliver Whalley began to rebuild the innings, James Parkinson struck again having Oliver Whalley caught by Tom Parkinson for 8 (12 balls)(1x4), 39-3. Sam Dutton came to the wicket but was soon out caught behind by Bradley Hoyle off Dylan Conroy for 8 (14 balls)(2x4), 50-4.
Jack Singleton replaced Dutton and with Coetzer doubled the score, James Park Johnson made the breakthrough having Hardus Coetzer caught by Zack Dodds for 50 (70 balls)(6x4), 107-5. Nishanth Arun joined Singleton but was out caught by Jaco Beneke off Zack Dodds for 8 (24 balls), 126-6.
Declan Tyson came to the wicket but was tragically run out by Dylan Conroy for 5 (14 balls), 135-7. Dan Adams replaced Tyson but five runs later was caught by Ryan Nelson off Jaco Beneke for 2 (7 balls), 140-8.
Daryl Wearing became Jack Singleton's new partner and they took it to the last over when Jack Singleton was caught behind by Bradley Hoyle for 50 (111 balls)(5x4), 177-9. Number eleven came in with three balls remaining and saw Barrow close on 179-9 in their 50 overs with Daryl Wearing 17no (26 balls)(1x4,1x6) and Liam Walker 1no (2 balls).
All the Carnforth bowlers took a wicket, James Parkinson took 2-29 from 10 overs, Zack Dodds 2-32 0ff 15, Dylan Conroy 2-44 from 10, James Park Johnson 1-32 off 9 and Jaco Beneke 1-35 from 6.
The rains came in the interval and the games was abandoned.
Euxton v Fleetwood
The match was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
Fulwood & Broughton v Preston
Preston won the toss at the Highfield ground and put the hosts into bat. Only two overs were bowled before the rains came. Ewen Mansford was 4no (7 balls) and his partner Matt Smith 1no (5 balls).
For Preston Imran Mehmood bowled 1 over for 1 run and ShaidHusain Haj 1 over for 4 runs.
Lytham v Great Eccleston
Great Eccleston won the toss at Church Road and chose to bat first, Matthew Lawrenson was an early casualty caught by Sahaan Sahaan off Tom Hessey for 1 (6 balls), 6-1. Tyler McGaddery was in at three and supported by Will Smith were keeping the scoreboard ticking over, their partnership was 56 when Will Smith fell lbw to Ben Saunders for 15 (46 balls)(1x4), 62-2.
Alexander Rhodes was the new batsman and with McGaddery took the score past the hundred, Sahaan Sahaan was introduced into the attack and in his second over trapped Alexander Rhodes lbw for 20 (30 balls)(1x4), 102-3. Mohammed Fazil replaced Rhodes and with McGaddery were making good progress at 151-3 in 33.4 overs when the rains came and the match was abandoned.
The Lytham bowling was Tom Hessey took 1-16 from 6, Sahaan Sahaan 1-40 off 5.4, Ben Saunders 1-49 from 11, Sabbir Patel 0-17 off 5 and Archie Banks-Smith 0-29 from 6.
Thornton Cleveleys v Morecambe
Thornton Cleveleys won the toss at Illawala and elected to bat first, They lost an early wicket Will Weber bowled by Lloyd (Adam) Smith for 6 (7 balls)(1x4), 7-1. Coming in at number three was Sam Curwen and with Josh Borrell were going along nicely when Josh Borrell was out lbw off Michael Bland for 44 (58 balls)(6x4,2x6), 78-2.
Joshua Sackfield was next in but was soon out bowled by Stefan Dixon for 6 (22 balls)(1x4), 98-3. Jude Elphick joined Curwen but only one further over was bowled when the rains came and the match abandoned with the hosts on 106-3 in 27 overs.
The Morecambe bowling figures were Stefan Dixon took 1-0 from 1 over, Lloyd (Adam Smith 1-16 off 7, Michael Bland 1-46 from 6, Siddarth Ahhuja 0-14 off 6 and Regan Jackson 0-25 from 7.
Whalley v Penwortham
Whalley won the toss at Station Road and decided to bat first, Aman Singh and Frankie Jackson opened and were making steady progress when Nathan Walmsley struck with two wickets in three balls, he trapped Frankie Jackson for 13 (16 balls)(2x4), 24-1, two balls later incoming batsman Hamish Mullavey-Clark was bowled for 0 (2 balls), 24-2.
Levi Wolfenden was the new batsman and kept the score board moving until Aman Singh was caught by Nathan Elliott off Kriston Yearwood for 30 (70 balls)(4x4), 70-3. Sam Jackson joined Levi Wolfenden but their partnership was halted by the rain as the match was abandoned with Whalley on 133-3 in 38 overs. Levi Wolfenden was 59no (90 balls)(7x4) and Sam Jackson 22no (50 balls)(2x4).
For Penwortham Nathan Walmsley took 2-38 from 14 overs, Kriston Yearwood 1-17 off 5, Nathan Elliott 0-36 from 8 and Ed Cox 0-39 off 11.
