The Northern Cricket League Review

Division 1 Round 8 Once again saw changes at the top, Leyland beat St Annes and go top, Carlisle lost at home to Longridge, Carlisle drop to second and Longridge move up to fifth. Netherfield won at Blackpool and go third.

Garstang lost at Kendal and drop to fourth. In the battle of the bottom two Chorley came out on top over Settle and move out of the bottom two.

Division 2 Round 9 saw no changes at the top, Fleetwood won at Barrow and remain top, Barrow stay fourth, Fulwood & Broughton beat Thornton Cleveleys and are second, Euxton's home win against Whalley keeps them in third place.

Lytham won at home against Carnforth and go fifth. Morecambe demolished Penwortham at Woodhill Lane and Preston had a home win against Great Eccleston.

DIVISION ONE

LEAGUE MATCHES: ROUND

Blackpool v Netherfield

Blackpool won the toss at Stanley Park and elected to bat, Dylan Henshall fell lbw to Charlie Parkinson for 0 (1 balls) 2-1, Andrew Needham came in at three but he lost his partner Ben Howarth caught by Harry Lee off Abdu Dayyaan Galiem for 5 (30 balls), 17-2.

Ockert Erasmus was next in, a change of bowling brought Josh Wills into the attack and in his second over he had Ockert Erasmus caught by Lee Hogg for 16 (15 balls)(2x4), 42-3, Omar Tauqir was the new batsman but with only five runs added saw Andrew Nededham fall lbw to Abu Dayyaan Galiem for 14 (31 balls)(2x4), 47-4.

Matthew Taaffe replaced Needham and with Tauqir took the score to 99 when Omar Tauqir was out lbw to Oli Wileman for 39 (78 balls)(6x4), 99-5. Stuart Ashford came to the wicket but he soon lost Matthew Taaffe caught by Ben Barrow off Abdu Dayyaan Galiem for 17 (58 balls)(1x4), 112-6.

Alex Ryder was the incoming batsman but four runs on Stuart Ashford was caught behind by Richard Everett off Charlie Parkinson for 9 (31 balls)(1x4), 116-7. Steven Mercer joined Alex Ryder but became Abdu Dayyaan Galiem's next victim bowled for 0 (10 balls), 125-8.

Nate White came to the wicket but saw Richard Everett stump Alex Ryder for 12 (21 balls)(1x4) off Oli Wileman, 134-9. Jamie Thomson was in at eleven and became Abdu Dayyaan Galiel's fifth wicket bowled for 3 (6 balls) as Blackpool were bowled out for 145 in 48.3 overs, Nate White was 0no (11 balls).

For Netherfield Abdu Dayyaan Galiem took 5-36 from 13.3 overs, Charlie Parkinson 2-26 off 9, Oli Wileman 2-31 from 12, Josh Wills 1-21 from 10 and Harry Lee 0-14 off 4.

In reply Netherfield lost two wickets with the score on 15 Alex Ryder taking two wickets in two balls, Richard Everett was the first to go lbw for 4 (14 balls),15-1. Ben Barrow came in at three and fell first ball lbw for 0 (1 ball), 15-2.

Abdu Dayyaan Galiem was Richard Irving's new partner but with the score doubled Richard Irving was caught behind by Ben Howarth off Jamie Thomson for 16 (21 balls)(2x4), 30-3, John Huck was next in and with Galiem were going along nicely until Abdu Dayyaan Gakiem was stumped by Ben Howarth off Steven Mercer for 30 (23 balls)(3x4,1x6), 71-4.

Bert Medhurst was the new batsman but found runs hard to come by, he was next out caught by Dylan Henshall off Ockert Erasmus for 9 (39 balls)(1x4), 106-5. Lee Hogg joined John Huck and they saw the visitors home closing on 148-5 in 37.1 overs, John Huck was 62no (93 balls)(5x4,1x6) and Lee Hogg 18 no (32 balls)(3x4).

For Blackpool Alex Ryder took 2-26 from 5 overs, Steven Mercer 1-30 off 9, Ockert Erasmus 1-37 from 13.1, Jamie Thomson 1-40 off 7 and Nate White 0-14 from 3.

Carlisle v Longridge

Longridge won the toss at Edenside and chose to bat first, Nico Watt claimed an early wicket bowling Joshua Mullin for 4 (18 balls), 14-1, Matthew De Villiers was in at three but was quickly out caught by Calum Rowe off Michael Slack for 7 (14 balls)(1x4), 23-2.

Louie Trayers was the new batsman and with Rhys Morgan began to build up the score, Johnny Westgarth came on to bowl and in his second over had Louie Trayers caught behind by Tom Benn for 12 (48 balls), 61-3. Alex Mason joined Morgan and they were going well until Rhys Morgan fell lbw to Ben Davidson for 69 (98 balls)(4x4,2x6), 144-4.

Kieran McClintock was next in and saw Ben Davidson strike again bowling Alex Mason for 50 (66 balls)(5x4), 161-5. James Whitehead joined McClintock but became Ben Davidson's next victim lbw for 4 (6 balls), 169-7, Gabriel Dowthwaite came to the wicket and saw Kieran McClintock fall caught by Nico Watt off Ben Davidson for 22 (28 balls), 186-7.

Luke Platt was Dowthwaite's new partner and they saw Longridge close on 194-7 in their 50 overs, Gabriel Dowthwaite was 10 no (19 balls)and Luke Platt 4no (3 balls).

For Carlisle Ben Davidson took 4-35 from 8 overs, Johnny Westgarth 1-18 off 5, Michael Slack 1-27 from 10, Nico Watt 1-49 off 15, Calum Rowe 0-30 from 5 and Ben Purdham 0-31 off 7.

Zephania Arinaitwe got the Carlisle reply off to a brisk start, Marc Brown was the first man out caught and bowled by Kieran McClintock for 0 (20 balls), 33-1, Calum Rowe was in at three and with Arinaitwe moved the score along until Zephania Arinaitwe was caught by Jake Durnell off Kieran McClintock for 37 (38 balls)(5x4), 50-2.

Michael Slack was next in and with Calum Rowe steadily kept the scoreboard ticking over, Joe Lyth broke the partnership having Calum Rowe lbw for 38 (65 balls)(3x4,1x6), 120-3. Ben Davidson was the new batsman but seven runs later Michael Slack was caught by Rhys Morgan off Alex Mason for 23 (76 balls), 127-4.

Matthew Brown joined Ben Davidson and they took the score to 150 when Jake Durnell bowled Matthew Brown for 15 (16 balls)(1x4,1x6), 150-5, Tom Benn came to the wicket but one run later out caught by Kieran McClintock off Alex Mason for 0 (3 balls), 151-6.

Disaster struck the hosts losing two wickets on the same score, incoming batsman Nico Watt was stumped by Louie Trayers off Alex Mason for 3 (7 balls), 157-7, Ben Purdham replaced Watt but two balls later was run out by Matthew De Villiers for 0 (2 balls), 157-8

Craig Manchester came to the wicket but he soon lost his partner Ben Davidson caught behind by Louie Trayers off Alex Mason for 16 (42 balls), 165-9. Johnny Westgarth came in at eleven but without any further addition Jae Durnell brought victory to the visitors having Craig Manchester caught behind by Louie Tryers for 5 (8 balls)(1x4), as Carlisle were bowled out for 165 in 45.1 overs, Johnny Westgarth was 0no (1 ball).

The Longridge bowling figure were Alex Mason took 4-47 from 12 overs, Jake Durnell 2-28 off 10.1, Kieran McClintock 2-31 from 7, Joe Lyth 1-20 off 8 and Matthew De Villiers 0-30 from 8.

Chorley v Settle

Chorley won the toss at Windsor Park and decided to bat first, Harry Barclay and Miller Childs got them off to a good start with an opening partnership of 79, Miller Childs was the man out bowled by Sunny Singh for 31 (74 balls)(2x6), 79-1. coming in at three was Will Moulton and he was going well until he left the field, Keegan Petersen took his place, he was the next man out caught by John Davidson off Sunny Singh for 25 (22 balls)(1x4,2x6), 174-2.

Edwin Moulton was next in and with Harry Barclay kept the scoreboard moving along, Harry Barclay reached his century and then fell lbw to Sunny Singh for 101 (138 balls)(10x4,2x6), 239-3, Maxwell Seedall replaced Barclay but lost Edwin Moulton in the last over caught by James Snowden for 45 (29 balls)(2x4,4x6), 266-4.

Alexander Howarth came in with two balls to go and saw Chorley close on 267-4 in their 50 overs with Maxwell Seedall 1no (2 balls) and Alexander Howarth 1no (2 balls).

For Settle Sunny Singh took 4-88 from 14 overs, Harry Snowden 1-65 off 15, John Hughes 0-16 from 4, Gautam Waghela 0-39 off 7 and James Galley 0-49 from 10.

The visitors got off to a poor start losing Benjamin Hulse lbw to Toby Johnston for 0 (2 balls), 4-1. the Settle number three was Noah Smith but he was soon out caught by Alexander Howarth off Luca Doyle for 6 (16 balls)(1x4), 21-2.

Gautam Waghela joined John Davidson and went on the attack hitting three consecutive fours but in Toby Johnston's next over three wickets fell in four balls, First ball he bowled Gautam Waghela for 13 (6 balls)(3x4), 46-3, next ball Harry Barclay stumped new man John Snowden for 0 (1 ball), 47-4, Sunny Singh came to the wicket but two balls later he was bowled for 2 (2 balls), 49-5.

Harvey Green replaced Singh and with Davidson began to build a momentum, Sam Steeple broke the stand bowling John Davidson for 39 (63 balls)(6x4), 84-6, Harry Snowden was the new batsman but Harvey Green who was scoring at a run a ball fell caught by Will Moulton off Luca Doyle for 27 (28 balls)(4x4,1x6), 96-7.

Joe Pickles replaced Green and with Snowden kept the scoreboard ticking over, their partnership was 37 when Joe Pickles was caught by Toby Johnston off Maxwell Seedall for 11 (26 balls)(2x4), 133-8. John Hughes came to the wicket but lost his partner Harry Snowdon bowled by Edwin Moulton for 21 (50 balls)(3x4), 140-9.

James Galley came in at eleven and decided not to go without a fight and with Hughes had put on 53 when Edwin Moulton bowled John Hughes for 8 (29 balls)(1x4) as Settle were bowled out for 913 in 43.3 overs with James Galley 32no (41 balls)(4x4,1x6).

The Chorley bowling figures were Toby Johnston took 4-63 from 10 overs, Edwin Moulton 2-14 off 6.3, Luca Doyle 2-58 from 15, Maxwell Seedall 1-11 off 3, Sam Steeple 1-39 from 7 and Ed Catt 0-3 off 2.

Kendal v Garstang

Garstang won the toss at Shap Road and batted first, they lost Michael Walling lbw to Louis Backhouse for 7 (22 balls), 21-1, number three was Joseph Pearson but eight runs later saw Tom Higson fall caught by Cole Abrahams off Matt Jackson for 18 (49 balls)(2x4), 29-2.

Nisanth Nithian was next in but disaster for the visitors as he was run out by Louis Backhouse for 7 (11 balls)(1x4), 36-3. Lahiru Madushanka joined Pearson and had put on 109 when Joseph Pearson was caught by Christopher Miller off Louis Backhouse for 47 (95 balls)(3x4,3x6), 145-4.

Theo Smith replaced Pearson and supported Madushanka until he was caught by Christopher Miller off Kuldeep Singh for 12 (16 balls)(1x4), 172-5. Mark Walling came to the wicket but five runs later was bowled by Louis Backhouse for 1 (3 balls), 177-6.

Ian Walling was the new batsman and with Lahiru Madushanka saw Garstang close on 186-6 in their 50 overs with Lahiru Madushanka 76no (98 balls)(8x4) and Ian Walling 7no (7 balls).

For Kendal Louis Backhouse took 3-40 from 14 overs, Matt Jackson 1-34 off 15, Kuldeep Singh 1-50 from 9, Freddie Fallows 0-20 off 6 and Christopher Miller 0-39 from 6.

The Kendal openers were Ikram Ullah and Lewis Richardson who got off to a steady start, Ikram Ullah was the first to go bowled by Lahiru Madushanksa for 13 (31 balls)(2x4), 30-1. Finlay Richardson came in at three but soon after two wickets fell on the same score, Cory Cater bowled Finlay Richardson for 5 (11 balls)(1x4), 44-2, Cole Abrahams came in next but Lewis Richardson fell lbw to Lahiru Madushanka for 23 (32 balls)(3x4), 44-3.

Freddie Fallows was the new batsman but he soon became wicket number two for Cory Cater caught by M Walling for 10 (14 balls)(1x4), 55-4. James Bowman joined Abrahams, Danny Gilbert was brought on to bowl in with his second ball bowled James Bowman for 1 (4 balls), 78-5.

Cole Abrahams had a new partner in Bradley Earl and they set about getting the innings back on track, they were going well until Lahiru Madushanka took two wickets in two balls, he trapped Bradley Earl lbw for 34 (36 balls)(4x4,1x6), 158-7, the incoming batsman Christopher Miller fell next ball bowled for 0 (1 ball), 158-7

Louis Backhouse came in next but quickly became wicket number five for Lahiru Madushanka bowled for 8 (11 balls)(1x4), 168-8. Kuldeep Singh replaced Backhouse and disaster for the hosts Cole Abrahams was caught by Danny Gilbert off Cory Cater for 65 (79 balls)(8x4,1x6) 175-9.

Number eleven Matt Jackson came in with twelve runs required, it was achieved with Kuldeep Singh hitting a six for victory closing on 188-9 in 40.5 overs, Kudeep Singh 10no (24 balls)(1x6) and Matt Jackson 3no (8 balls).

The Garstang bowling was Lahiru Madushanka took 5-49 from 15 overs, Cory Cater 3-65 off 15, Danny Gilbert 1-27 from 5, Tom Higson 0-21 off 2 and Ian Walling 0-24 from 3.5.

Leyland v St Annes

Leyland won the toss at the Stanning Memorial ground and chose to bat first, St Annes had a quick success having Xander Eyre caught behind by James Bradley off Rory Urquhart for 0 (3 balls), 4-1, Karl Cross was the hosts number three but was soon out caught by Ryan Birkman off Callum Birkman for 4 (7 balls), 12-2.

Sam Oldham was next in and with Zak Willox were scoring well, with their stand at 162 Zak Willox was caught behind by James Bradley off Zain Abbas for 52 (90 balls)(6x4), 174-3, Jacob Wright was the new batsman and was scoring at over a run a ball when he was bowled by Zain Abbas for 19 (15 balls)(3x4), 202-4.

Andrew Makinson came to the wicket but four runs later was caught by Ashton Charles off Zain Abbas for 4 (14 balls), 206-5. Liam Hurt replaced Makinson, Sam Oldham reached his century, Now we have three overs to go and Adam Patel struck with two wickets in the over, Liam Hurt was caught by Jack Trohear for 28 (10 balls)(5x4,1x6) 239-6, four balls later incoming batsman Reiss Carrington was caught by Jack Trohear for 0 (4 balls), 239-7.

TajBallantyne was Sam Oldham's new partner and they saw Leyland close on 265-7 in their 50 overs, Sam Oldham was 122no (156 balls)(15x4, 4x6) and Taj Ballantyme 3no (4 balls).

The St Annes bowling figures were Zain Abbas took 3-65 form 10 overs, Adam Patel 2-89 off 14, Callum Birkman 1-20 from 5, Rory Urquhart 1-33 off 11, Ryan Birkman 0-23 from 3 and Lukman Vahaluwala 0-30 off 7.

The St Annes reply got off to a steady start, Andrew Jacques took the first wicket Ashton Charles caught by Zak Willox for 8 (22 balls)(2x4), 26-1. The St Annes number three was Evan Dobson who supported Zain Abbas, Andrew Jacques struck again having Zain Abbas caught by Taj Ballantyne for 23 (32 balls)(3x4), 47-2.

Lukman Vahaluwala was in next but two runs later Evan Dobson was caught by Xander Eyre off Liam Hurt for 6 (22 balls)(1x4), 49-3. Adam Patel joined Vahaluwala but quickly became victim number three for Andrew Jacques caught behind by Reiss Carrington for 1 (6 balls), 52-4.

Harry Birkman came to the wicket but was soon out caught behind by Reiss Carrington off Liam Hurt for 2 (9 balls), 55-5. Jack Trohear was the new batsman and with Vahaluwala began to make some progress but disaster struck with Jack Trohear run out by Zak Willox for 7 (19 balls), 89-7.

James Bradley replaced Trohear and he dug in unfortunately he lost Lukman Vahaluwala caught by Karl Cross off Taj Ballantyne for 29 (38 balls)(6x4), 98-7. Rory Urquhart came to the wicket and he lost James Bradley caught by Sam Oldham off Taj Ballantyne for 11 (40 balls)(1x4), 133-8.

Ryan Birkman was the new batsman but fell bowled by Will Smith for 6 (14 balls)(1x6), 168-9. Callum Birkman was in at eleven and supported Urquhart, Liam Hurt brought the innings to a close having Callum Birkman caught by Karl Cross for 3 (13 balls) as St Annes were bowled out for 184 in 45 overs with Rory Urquhart 55no (57 balls)(10 x4).

The Leyland bowling figures were Andrew Jacques took 3-34 form 9 overs, Liam Hurt 3-47 off 14, Taj Ballantyne 2-42 from 9, Will Smith 1-36 off 9 and Sam Oldham 0-17 from 4.

LEAGUE MATCHES: ROUND 4

Barrow v Fleetwood

Barrow won the toss at the Ernest Pass Memorial ground and invited the visitors to bat first, Jeremy Davies and Spencer Evans opened, Hardus Coetzer took an early wicket Spencer Evans caught by Daryl Wearing for 4 (27 balls), 18-1. Muhammed Hurraira was the Fleetwood number three and with Davies took the score past the hundred, Delan Tyson made the breakthrough taking two wickets in an over, he bowled Jeremy Davies for 43 (98 balls)(4x4,1x6), 104-2, four balls later incoming batsman Harry McAleer was caught behind by Sam Dutton for 0 (4 balls), 104-3.

Tomas King was in next and let Muhammed Hurraira take the lead, Tomas King was the next man out lbw to Liam Walker for 8 (18 balls), 136-4, Woody Wilson was the new batsman but he quickly became wicket number three for Declan Tyson caught by Daryl Wearing for 1 (4 balls), 139-5.

Charlie Clark joined Hurraira and they were going well until Muhammed Hurraira was caught by Luke Callow off Liam Walker for 96, (103 balls)(13x4,3x6), 191-6. Declan Clerkin came to the wicket but fell in the following over caught by Jack Singleton off Declan Tyson for 0 (3 balls), 191-7.

Sherzai Wali replaced Clerkin, Hardus Coetzer retuned to the attack and immediately had Sherzai Wal caught by Sam Henderson for 7 (4 balls)(1x4), 207-8, James Rawcliffe was the new batsman but without any further addition to the score Declan Tyson claimed his fifth wicket Charlie Clark bowled for 34 (27 balls)(3x4,2x6), 207-9.

Matthew Siddall came in at eleven but one run later was caught by Sam Henderspn off Hardus Coetzer for 1 (5 balls) as Fleetwood were bowled out for 208 in 49.2 overs with James Rawcliffe 0no (5 balls).

The Barrow bowling was Declan Tyson took 5-60 from 13 overs, Hardus Coetzer 3-22 off 8.2, Liam Walker 2-66 from 12, Sam Henderson 0-22 off 4 and Daryl Wearing 0-31 from 12.

Luke Callow and Declan Tyson got the hosts off to a good start, Declan Tyson the first to go bowled by Declan Clerkin for 12 (34 balls)(2x4), 32-1, Number three was Simon Chadd and with Callow took the score to 51 when Matthew Siddall was brought on to bowl and with is first ball bowled Luke Callow for 30 (52 balls)(5x4), 51-2.

Hardus Coetzer was the next man in but seven runs later lost Simon Chadd for 7 (32 balls), 58-3, Sam Dutton was the new batsman but he soon lost his partner Hardus Coetzer caught and bowled by Matthew Siddall for 8 (22 balls), 67-4.

Jack Singleton replaced Coetzer and he supported Dutton and they were making good progress, Matthew Siddall made the breakthrough with two wickets in three balls, he had Jack Singleton caught behind by Harry McAleer for 20 (57 balls)(1x4), 135-5, he then claimed his fifth wicket the incoming Dan Adams bowled two balls later for 0 (2 balls), 135-6.

Daryl Wearing joined Dutton , Matthew Siddall struck again bowling Daryl Wearing for 0 (1 ball), 149-7. Sam Henderson came to the wicket and with Dutton shielding his partner the score was taken to 186 when Sam Henderson was stumped by Harry McAleer off Declan Clerkin for 6 (9 balls), 186-8.

Glen Kermode was the next man in, Jeremy Davies returned to the attack and in his first over took the two remaining wickets, firstly he bowled Sam Dutton for 94 (74 balls)(10x4, 2x6), 186-9. Liam Walker was the Barrow number eleven but two balls later was caught behind by Harry McAleer for 0 (2 balls) as Barrow were bowled out for 186 in 47.3 overs with Glen Kermode 0no (did not face a ball).

The Fleetwoodbowling figures were Matthew Siddall took 6-46 from 15 overs, Jeremy Davies 2-25 off 8.3, Declan Clerkn 2-69 from 15 and Sherzai Wali 0-43 off 9.

Carnforth v Lytham

Carnforth won the toss at Lodge Quarry and chose to bat first, Joel Frith and Ryan Nelson were the opening pair, Joel Frith was the first man out caught by Myles Child for off Archie Banks-Smith for 7 (15 balls)(1x4), 22-1. The host's number three was Jaco Beneke but he soon lost Ryan Nelson caught by Ben Saunders off Archie Banks-Smith for 6 (24 balls)(1x4), 32-2.

James Park Johnson joined Beneke and they were approaching the hundred when Jaco Beneke fell lbw to Sahhaan Sahaan for 48 (54 balls)(6x4,2x6), 91-3. Bradley Hoyle was next in but two runs later was bowled by Sabbir Patel for 0 (11 balls), 93-4.

Tom Parkinson was the new batsman and he backed up James Park Johnson, Tom Parkinson was the next man out caught by Archie Banks-Smith for 8 (35 balls), 116-5. Dylan Conroy came to the wicket but was soon out bowled by Ben Saunders for 5 (10 balls), 131-6.

Jack Huntington was Park Johnson's new partner but eight runs later was trapped lbw by Sabbir Patel for 2 (6 balls), 139-7. Alfie Hill came to the wicket and quickly became wicket number three for Sabbir Patel caught by Edward Fiddler for 2 (9 balls), 146-8.

Lewis Spurr was the incoming batsman and with James Park Johnson kept the scoreboard ticking over, Sabbir Patel broke the partnership having Lewis Spurr caught by Edward Fiddler for 17 (17 balls)(2x6), 170-9. Number eleven was James Parkinson but four runs later James Park Johnson fell caught by Archie Banks-Smith off Ben Saunders as Carnforth were bowled out for 174 in 49.5 overs with James Parkinson 1no (2 balls).

For Lytham Sabbir Patel took 4-40 from 15 overs, Ben Saunders 2-26 off 4.5, Archie Bans-Smith 2-28 from 5, Sahaan Sahaan 2-42 off 15, Ryan Norris 0-1 from 1 and Antony Mulligan 0-33 off 9.

The visitors got off to a bad start losing Ryan Norris in the first over bowled by James Park Johnson for 0 (5 balls), 1-1, Archie Banks-Smith came in at three leading the way supported by Myles Child, Jaco Beneke broke the partnership bowling Myles Child for 10 (56 balls)(1x4), 56-2.

Henry Roberts was the new batsman and was scoring well until he was caught by Dylan Conroy off Jaco Beneke for 17 (14 balls)(4x4), 84-3. Edward Fiddler was next in and with Sahaan Sahaan took the visitors to victory closing on 175-4 in 41.4 overs, Sahhan Sahaan was 56no (69 balls)(6x4,2x6) and Edward Fiddler 17no (36 balls)(1x6),

Fulwood & Broughton v Thornton Cleveleys

Thornton Cleveleys won the toss at the Highfield ground and invited the hosts to bat first, The hosts did not start well losing Matt Smith run out for 1 (2 balls) by J Sackfield , 6-1, Ben Rosbottom was number three and with Ewen Mansford moved the score along, Ben Rosbottom was the next man out bowled by Jake Apperley for 18 (29 balls)(4x4), 41-2.

Charlie Rossiter joined Mansford and found runs hard to come by, He fell to Jake Apperley lbw for 2 (23 balls), 59-3. Clayton Stone was next in and with Mansford kept the scoreboard ticking along, Jake Apperley claimed his third wicket Ewen Mansford caught by Josh Borrell for 40 (92 balls)(8x4), 92-4.

Simon Kerrigan was Clayton Stone's new partner and they were going well, Clayton Stone reaches his fifty and was then caught by J Sackfield off Daniel Howard for 50 (78 balls)(8x4), 173-5, James McWilliam was the new batsman , Simon Kerrigan reached his fifty and then Daniel Howard took three wickets in an over, Simon Kerrigan went first caught behind by Sam Curwen for 52 (48 balls)(5x4,2x6), 218-6, Lewis Wellings came to the wicket and two balls later was bowled for 0 (2 balls), 218-7. Ben Parkinson replaced Wellings took a run off his first ball and then saw James McWilliam out caught by Christopher Hedges for 18 (19 balls)(1x4,1x6), 219-8.

Kashif Jamil came to the wicket and with Parkinson saw Fulwood & Broughton close on 230-8 in their 50 overs, Ben Parkinson was 6no (7 balls) and Kashif Jamil 4no (6 balls).

For Thornton Cleveleys Daniel Howard took 4-59 from 10 overs, Jake Apperley 3-32 off 15, Christopher Hedges 0-12 from 2, Anthony Ellison 0-45 off 12 and Joshua Rolinson 0-789 from 11.

The visitors got off to a bad start losing two wickets for three runs, Josh Borrell was bowled by Lewis Wellings for 0 (10 balls), 1-1, Lewis Wellings struck again bowling number three Sam Curwen for 0 (4 balls), 3-2.

Jacob Sackfield joined Joshua Sackfield but before they could settle Lewis Wellings trapped Joshua Sackfield lbw for 14 (13 balls)(3x4), 18-3. Evan Martin was next in but he soon lost his partner Jacob Sackfield caught behind by James McWilliam off Lewis Wellings for 4 (13 balls), 27-4.

Christopher Hedges was the new batsman but with only four runs added Evan Martin was caught behind by James McWilliam off Chris Brookes for 10 (22 balls)(1x4), 31-5. Joshua Rolinson replaced Martin but if things were bad they got a whole lost worse with three wickets falling on 36, Lewis Wellings claimed his fifth wicket Christopher Hedges caught by Ben Parkinson for 4 (6 balls)(1x4), 36-6.

Daniel Howard was the next man in, In the next over Chris Brookes took two wickets, incoming batsman Joshau Rolinson was caught by Ewen Mansford for 0 (5 balls), 36-7, Jake Apperley came to the wicket but three balls later he was bowled for 0 (3 balls), 36-8.

Daniel Howard had a new partner in Ethan Elphick but when Kashif Jamil was brought on to bowl he had Ethan Elphick caught by Matt Smith for 4 (4 balls)(1x4), 45-9. Kashif Jamil caught and bowled number eleven Anthony Ellison for 1 (8 balls) and brought the Thornton Cleveleys innings to a close on 48 in 16.3 overs with Daniel Howard 5no (11 balls)(1x4).

The Fulwood & Broughton bowling was Lewis Wellings took 5-26 from 7 overs, Chris Brookes 3-12 off 7 Kashif Jamil 2-7 from 1-3 and Simon Kerrigan 0-0 off 1.

Morecambe v Penwortham

Penwortham won the toss at Woodhill Lane and decided to bat first, Robbie Sumner and Jonathan Hothersall opened the batting, Joanthan Hothersall fell caught behind by Andrew Creech off Lloyd (Adam) Smith for 0 (2 balls), 1-1. Matt Halliday came in at three and with Halliday leading began to move the score along, Lloyd (Adam) Smith struck again trapping Robbie Sumner lbw for 9 (34 balls)(1x4), 35-2.

Connor Brown was next in but quickly became Lloyd (Adam) Smith's next victim caught behind by Andrew Creech for 5 (6 balls)(1x4), 48-3. Kane Donaghy came to the wicket but two runs later Matt Halliday was bowled by Siddarth Ahhuja for 32 (54 balls)(4x4), 50-4.

Rayyan Tailor joined Donaghy but disaster for the visitors as four wickets fell for three runs, Kane Donaghy was out lbw to Siddarth Ahhuja for 4 (18 balls), 64-5, in came Edward Duckworth who was bowled in Siddarth Ahhuja's next over for 0 (5 balls), 64-6.

Ian Walmsley Jnr was next but three runs later lost Rayyan Tailor lbw to Siddarth Ahhuja for 9 (33 balls)(2x4i, 67-7. Nathan Walmsley replaced Tailor but without any addition to the score Ian Walmsley Jr was caught by Siddarth Ahhuja off Regan Jackson for 3 (11 balls), 67-8.

Matthew Finnerty was Walmsley's new partner but he became Siddarth Ahhuja's fifth wicket bowled for 0 (11 balls). 70-9. Number eleven was Isaac Roberts but with only ten runs added Siddarth Ahhuja had Nathan Walmsley caught behind by Andrew Creech for 11 (22 balls)(1x4) as Penwortham were bowled out for 80 in 33.2 overs with Isaac Roberts 0no (6 balls).

The Morecambe bowling figures were Siddarth Ahhuja took 6-20 from 11.2 overs, Lloyd (Adam) Smith 3-22 off 9, Regan Jackson 1-12 from 8 and Michael Bland 0-23 off 5.

The Morecambe opening pair Lewis Smith 42no (35 baslls)(8x4) and Luke Pearson 31no (34 balls)(4x4,1x6) saw the hosts to victory on 84-0 in 11.3 overs.

The Penwortham bowling was Isaac Roberts took 0-14 from 4 overs, Connor Brown 0-22 off 4, Nathan Walmsley 0-23 from 2 and Matthew Finnerty 0-23 off 1.3.

Great Eccleston won the toss at West Cliff and elected to bat, Will Smith and Matthew Lawrenson got them off to a steady start, Will Smith was the first one out lbw to Ismail Patel for 18 (49 balls) (2x4), 39-1. Tyler McGladdery came in at three but one run later lost Matthew Lawrenson lbw to Ismail Patel for 21 (68 balls)(2x4), 40-2.

The new batsman was Mohammed Fazil and with McGladdery had put on 81 runs when Tyler McGladdery was caught by Navazish Ali off Talha Patel for 51 (63 balls)(3x4), 121-3. next in was Alexander Rhodes but he was soon out bowled by Ismail Patel for 5 (11 balls), 132-4.

Richard Booth joined Fazil but disaster struck with Richard Booth run out for 13 (14 balls)(1x4), 154-5. Mohamed Nadeem came to the wicket but was quickly out caught by Navazish Ali off Shaid Husain Haji for 4 (4 balls), 159-6.

Joe McMillan was in next and with Mohammed Fazil saw Great Ecclston close on 176-6 in their 50 overs, with Mohammed Fazil 52no (63 balls)(4x4) and Joe McMillan 11no (4 balls)(1x6).

The Preston bowling was Ismail Patel took 3-60 from 12 overs, Shaid Husain Haji 1-31 off 10, Talha Patel 1-47 from 15, Imran Mehmood 0-18 off 9 and Ahned Saeed Bariwala 0-20 from 4.

Sajid Patel and Navazish Ali gave them a great start with an opening stand of 72, Navazish Ali went first bowled by Will Smith for 25 (62 balls)(2x4), 72-1, Coming in at three was Imran Mehmood and with Sajid Patel took the score past the hundred, Tyler McGladdery broke their partnership bowling Sajid Patel for 47 (76 balls)(5x4), 110-2.

Suhel Patel was in next but with only ten runs added both were out, Imran Mehmood was run out for 26 (45 balls)(2x4), 120-3, Ahmed Saeed Bariwala came in but in the next over Suhel Patel was caught by Joe McMillan off Will Smith for 7 (11 balls)(1x6), 120-4.

Sajid Nalbandh joined Bariwala but seven runs later they both fell with the score on 127, Tyler McGladdery trapped Sajid Nalbandh lbw for 2 (4 balls), 127-5, Will Smith then had Ahmed Saeed Bariwala lbw for 5 (9 balls)(1x4), 127-6.

We now had two new batsmen Suhel Patel Jr and Ismail Patel, both were soon out, Ismail Patel was caught by Mohammed Fazil off Tyler McGladdery for 0 (10 balls), 133-7, Suhel Patel Jr followed one run later stumped by Emran Patel off Will Smith for 5 (8 balls)(1x4), 134-8.

Basim Ali and Talha Patel were given the task to try and get near the target, they batted steadily but on reaching 155 Talha Patel was caught by Phil Booth off Tyler McGladdery for 14 (23 balls)(1x4). Shaid Husain Haji came in at number eleven and with Ali saw the hosts to victory closing on 177-9 in 48.3 overs, Basim Ali was 14no (30 balls) and Shaid Husain Haji 11no (13 balls)(1x4).

For Great Eccleston Will Smith took 4-31 from 15 overs, Tyler McGladdery 4-44 off 12, Phil Booth 0-19 from 6, Mohamed Nadeem 0-33 off 9 and Alexander Rhodes 0-39 from 6.3.

Whalley v Euxton

Whalley won the toss at Station Road and put the visitors into bat, They lost an early wicket Max Harper caught behind by Thomas Cameron off Joshua Dentith for 0 (5 balls), 4-1, James Bone was in at three and with Josh Tolley put on 131 runs, James Bone was the man out caught by Joshua Dentith off Hamish Mullavey-Clark for 62 (101 balls)(7x4), 135-2.

Ben Houghton was next in and was scoring well until he became Hamish Mullavey-Clark's next victim caught behind by Thomas Cameron for 21 (19 balls)(3x4,1x6), 166-3. Josh Boyden joined Tolley and supported him as they went past the two hundred, Ewan McDonald broke the partnership having Josh Boyden caught by Levi Wolfenden for 9 (13 balls), 203-4

Nishan Peiris came to the wicket but was out in the next over bowled by Levi Wolfenden for 0 (2 balls), 204-5. Jack Shovelton replaced Peiris, Josh Tolley reached his century and Euxton closed on 233-5 in their 50 overs, Josh Tolley carried his bat unbeaten on 103 (154 balls)(8x4,3x6) and Jack Shovelton was 11no (7 balls)(2x4).

The Whalley bowling was Hamish Mullavey-Clark took 2-29 from 6 overs, Ewan McDonald 1-41 off 8, Levi Wolfenden 1-51 from 14, Joshua Dentith 1-52 off 15 and Toby Birtwistle 0-14 from 2

The Whalley reply getting of to a poor start losing three early wickets, Joseph Barker bowled Toby Birtwistle for 0 (3 balls), 8-1, The man in at three was Frankie Jackson but he soon lost his partner Monty Cort bowled by Josh Boyden for 9 (15 balls)(2x4), 12-2.

Levi Wolfenden was next in but with only two runs added Frankie Jackson was caught by James Bone off Joseph Barker for 1 (12 balls), 14-3. Hamish Mullavey-Clark was the new batsman and with Wolfenden set about rebuilding the innings, they had just passed the fifty when Elliot Mackrael took two wickets in an over, he had Levi Wolfenden caught by Max Harper for 22 (43 balls)(3x4), 54-4, Daniel Ainsworth came to the crease but four balls later was caught by Nishan Peiris for 0, 54-5 54-5.

Thomas Cameron came to the wicket but seven runs later Elliot Mackrael struck again Hamish Mulavey-Clark caught by Max Harper for 17 (56 balls)(2x4), 61-7. Ethan Jackson joined Cameron but was soon out stumped by Jack Morgan off James Bone for 10n (9 balls)(1x6), 76-7.

Ewan McDonald replaced Jackson but he quickly became victim number two for James Bone lbw for 2 (9 balls), 84-8. Noah Thornton came to the wicket but soon lost Thomas Cameron caught and bowled by James Bone for 16 (36 balls)(2x4), 87-9.

The Whalley number eleven was Joshua Dentith and he was the last man out bowled by Jack Shovelton for 1 (7 balls) as Whalley were bowled out for 92 in 36.1 overs with Noah Thornton 6no (23 balls).
