Euxton v Carnforth
Carnforth won the toss at Balshaw Park and decided to bat first, Ryan Nelson and Joel Frith were the opening batsmen, Joel Frith went early stumped by Jack Morgan off Nishan Peiris for 3 (6 balls), 11-1. Jaco Beneke came in at three and was scoring at a run a ball when he was bowled by Josh Boyden for 13 (12 balls)(1x4,1x6), 28-2.
James Park Johnson was next in but with only one run added was bowled by Josh Boyden for 0 (11 balls), 29-3. Freddie Whatmuff joined Nelson but he was soon out lbw to Nishan Peiris for 5 (9 balls), 44-4.
Nishan Peiris struck again claiming his third wicket incoming batsman Tom Parkinson caught by Max Harper for 0 (9 balls), 46-5. Bradley Hoyle came to the wicket with Carnforth in trouble and it was not helped when Ryan Nelson was caught behind by Jack Morgan off Josh Boyden for 27 (51 balls)(4x4), 50-6
Jack Huntington was the new batsman and with Hoyle looked to be making some progress when Josh Bowden bowled Bradley Hoyle for 5 (25 balls), 74-7. Zack Dodds replaced Hoyle and with Huntington took the score past the hundred when the last three wickets fell for 1 run, James Bone caught and bowled Jack Huntington for 19 (45 balls)(2x4), 104-8.
Lewis Spurr was Dodds new partner but in the next over Lewis Spurr was lbw to Joseph Bowden for 0 (2 balls), 105-9. James Parkinson was in at eleven, it was in the next over James Bone had Zack Dodds caught by Max Harper for 20 (23 balls)(1x4,2x6) as Carnforth were bowled out for 105 in 32.3 overs with James Parkinson 0no (2 balls).
All the Euxton bowlers took wickets, Nishan Peiris took 3-24 from 15 overs, Josh Boyden 3-43 off 10, James Bone 2-7 from 1.3 and Joseph Bowden 2-26 off 6.
The hosts reply got off to a bad start losing both openers with the score on ten, Freddie Whatmuff bowled Josh Tolley for 3 (10 balls), 10-1. James Bone was in at three but lost Max Harper bowled by James Park Johnson for 4 (13 balls), 10-2.
Ben Houghton joined Bone and they took the sore to 32 when again two wickets fell, James Park Johnson took two wickets in an over, Ben Houghton was caught by Jack Huntington for 5 (21 balls), 32-3, Incoming batsman Josh Boyden fell four balls later bowled for 0 (4 balls), 32-4.
James Bone had a new partner in Nishan Peiris but with only eight runs added James Bone fell lbw to Jaco Beneke for 13 (39 baks)(2x4), 40-5. Jack Shovelton was in next but was out in the next over lbw to James Park Johnson for 0 (1 ball), 41-6.
Jack Morgan was the new batsman and with Peiris had doubled the score and looked to be on the road to victory, Tom Parkinsom was brought on to bowl and in his first over had Jack Morgan caught by Jack Huntington for 13 (47 balls)(1x4), 88-7, The game changed dramatically with the last three Euxton wickets falling for two runs, the incoming batsman Joseph Barker was out lbw to Zack Dodds for 0 ( balls), 95-8.
Elliot Mackrael came to the wicket but was bowled second ball by Tom Parkinson for 0 (2 balls), 96-9. Joseph Bowden was in at eleven but in Tom Parkinnson's next over caught and bowled Nishan Peiris for 48 (79 balls)(2x4,3x6) as Euxton were bowled out for 97 in 38.3 overs to give Carnforth their first league win of the season. Joseph Bowden was 0no (6 balls).
All the Carnforth bowlers took a wicket, James Park Johnson took 4-35 from 15 overs, Tom Parkinson 3-1 off 3.3, Zack Dodds 1-17 from 5, Freddie Whatmuff 1-19 off 7 and Jaco Beneke 1-20 from 8.
Fleetwood v Preston
Fleetwood won the toss at Broardwater and invited the visitors to bat first, Sajid Patel and Navazish Ali gave the visitors a good start broken with Navaziah Ali being caught by Nathan Bend off Declan Clerkin for 25 (28 balls)(2x4,2x6), 48-1, Imran Mehmood was the Preston number three, Declan Clerkin accounted for the other opener Sajid Patel caught by Tomas King for 25 (41 balls)(2x4,1x6), 74-2.
Suhel Patel was next in and with Mehmood took the score past the hundred, Imran Mehmood was the next man out lbw to Matthew Siddall for 40 (62 balls)(5x4,1x6), 116-3. Ahmed Saeed Bariwala was the new batsman and with Patel kept up a good score rate, Hassan Mughal returned to the attack and bowled Ahmed Saeed Bariwala for 41 (30 balls)(3x4,4x6), 167-4.
Sajid Nalbandh joined Patel but he soon became wicket number two for Hassan Mughal caught by Sherzai Wali for 10 (8 balls)(1x4), 184-5. Suhel Patel Jr came to the wicket but in the next over fell lbw to Sherzai Wali for 2 (3 balls), 191-6.
Basin Ali replaced Patel Jr and continued keeping the scoreboard ticking over, Matthew Siddall was brought back to the attack and in his second over had Basim Ali caught by Declan Clerkin for 16 (26 balls), 224-7. Sherzai Walli five runs later bowled incoming batsman Arbaz Khan for 2 (5 balls), 224-8.
Ismail Patel was Suhel Patel's new partner but disaster for the visitors in the next over Suhel Patel was caught by Tomas King off Matthew Siddall for 50 (69 balls)(3x4,2x6) without addition to the score , 229-9.
The Preston number eleven was Talha Patel and four runs later he fell to the King/Siddall combination caught Tomas King bowled Matthew Siddall as Preston were bowled out for 233 in 46 overs, Talha Patel was 0no (4 balls).
The Fleetwood bowling figures were Matthew Siddall took 4-40 from 11 overs, Declan Clerkin 2-27 off 8, Sherzai Wai 2-38 from 9, Hassan Mughal 2-76 off 10 and Nathan Bend 0-46 from 8.
Andy Drake and Jeremy Davies followed the Preston opening pairs lead and laid a solid foundation for the innings with an opening partnership of 75 broken when Andy Drake was caught by S Patel off Ismail Patel for 20 (59 balls)(2x4), 75-1. Muhammed Hurraira came in at three but he soon lost Jeremy Davies caught by S Patel off Arbaz Khan for 44 (72 balls)(6x4,1x6), 91-2.
Declan Clerkin was next in but he was soon out caught by Suhel Patel Jr off Ismail Patel for 7 (19 balls), 129-3. Harry McAleer replaced Clerkin but he too did not last long caught behind by Basim Ali off Talha Patel for 2 (10 balls), 138-4.
Tomas King was Hurraira's new partner and they took the score within sight of victory when Tomas King was caught by S Patel Jr off Ismail Patel for 37 (29 balls)(4x4,2x6), 201-5. Charlie Clark was the new batsman but he lost Muhammed Hurraira lbw to Imran Mehmood for 70 (88 balls)(7x4,1x7), 211-6.
Nathan Bend came to the wicket and with Clark saw the hosts home to close on 237-6 in 49.4 overs, Charlie Clark was 17no (12 balls)(1x6) and Nathan Bend 9no ( balls)(1x4).
For Preston Ismail Patel took 3-59 from 15 overs, Talha Patel 1-35 off 5, Imran Mehmood 1-53 from 12, Arbaz Khan 1-65 off 14.4 and Navazish Ali 0-15 from 3.
Great Eccleston v Morecambe
Morecambe won the toss at Hall Lane and put the hosts into bat, The hosts got off to a poor start losing two early wickets, Will Smith was caught by Alex Briggs off Siddarth Ahhuja for 0 (19 balls), 11-1. Alexander Rhodes was in at three but fell one run later bowled by Lloyd (Adam) Smith for 1 (3 balls), 12-2.
Amar Ullah was next in and had doubled the score when he was caught by Alex Briggs off Siddarth Ahhuja for 7 (15 balls)(1x4), 24-3. Mohammed Fazil was Will Thistlethwaite's new partner but Siddarth Ahhuja struck again bowling Will Thistlethwaite for 7 (35 balls)(1x4), 35-4.
Matthew Lawrenson joined Fazil and they found runs hard to come by, Regan Jackson broke the partnership bowling Matthew Lawrenson for 10 (33 balls)(1x4), 61-5. Mohamed Nadeem was the new batsman but he became Regan Jackson's next victim lbw for 13 (17 balls)(2x4), 86-6.
Joe McMillan replaced Nadeem but six runs later was bowled by Lewis Smith for 1 (14 balls), 92-7. Matt Moat came to the wicket and with Fazil had the scoreboard moving along until Matt Moat was caught behind by Andrew Creech off Lewis Smith for 20 (36 balls)(2x4), 123-8.
Number ten was Phil Booth but disaster for the hosts Mohammed Fazil fell lbw to Lewis Smith for 30 (72 balls)(3x4), 126-9. The Great Eccleston number eleven was Emran Patel but he soon lost his partner Phil Booth bowled by Lewis Smith for 1 (9 balls)as Great Eccleston were bowled out for 135 in 42 overs with Emran Patel 0no (did not face a ball).
The Morecambe bowling figures were Siddarth Ahhuja took 4-19 from 13 overs, Lewis Smith 3-31 off 7. Regan Jackson 2-29 from 8, Lloyd (Adam) Smith 1-30 off 10 and Muhammed Patel 0-21 from 4.
The visitors reply followed the path of the hosts losing two early wickets, Alexander Rhodes bowled Luke Pearson for 1 (4 balls), 7-1, number three was Andrew Creech who was caught by Will Thistlethwaite off Will Smith for 7 (16 balls)(1x4), 20-2.
Siddarth Ahhuja joined Lewis Smith and they had doubled the score when Siddarth Ahhuja was bowled by Alexander Rhodes for 19 (24 balls)(2x4,1x6), 46-3. Alex Briggs was next in but he soon lost Lewis Smith bowled by Amar Ullah for 19 (24 balls)(2x4,1x6), 62-4.
The new batsman was Joseph Bradshaw and with Briggs had taken the score past the hundred when Alex Briggs fell caught by Alexander Rhodes off Phil Booth for 31 (19 balls),, 104-5. Joe Davies replaced Briggs and with Bradshaw saw Morecambe to victory closing on 136-5 in 24.2 overs with Joseph Bradshaw 42no (42 balls)(3x4,2x6) and Joe Davies 14no (23 balls)(3x4).
All the Great Eccleston bowlers took a wicket, Alexander Rhodes took 2-52 from 8.2 overs, Phil Booth 1-18 off 4, Will Smith 1-24 from 4 and Amar Ullah 1-42 off 8.
Lytham v Fulwood & Broughton
Lytham won the toss at Church Road and chose to bat first, The hosts got off to a bad start and it got worse, Ryan Norris was out in the second over of the innings caught behind by James McWilliam off Lewis Wellings for 0 (3 balls), 0-1. Archie Banks-Smith was the Lytham number three but was out off the first ball of Lewis Wellings next over bowled for 0 (4 balls), 2-2.
Sahaan Sahaan was next in but with only two runs added Guy Roberts was caught by Ewen Mansford off Chris Brookes for 0 (15 balls), 4-3. Henry Roberts joined Sahaan but then total disaster four wickets falling with the score on 9, Chris Brookes started the collapse with two wickets in four balls, he bowled Henry Roberts for 4 (15 balls), 9-4, Ben Saunders came to the wicket and three balls later was bowled for 0 (3 balls), 9-5.
Edward Fiddler was the new batsman but in the next over Lewis Wellings bowled Sahaan Sahaan for 2 (19 balls), 9-6. Alex Higham was Fiddler's new partner but in the next over Chris Brookes bowled Edward Fiddler without any addition to the score 9-7.
Myles Child replaced Fiddler , four runs had been added when Lewis Wellings bowled Alex Higham for 4 (5 balls)(1x4), 13-8. The incoming batsman was Antony Mulligan and with Child tried to settle in but Chris Brookes claimed his fifth wicket bowling Antony Mulligan for 4 (15 balls), 23-8.
Sabbir Patel was in at eleven but he was soon out bowled by Simon Kerrigan for 6 (12 balls) as Lytham were bowled out for 29 in 20.2 overs with Myles Child 5no (28 balls)(1x4). The opening pair were out caught but the remaining nine were all bowled.
Fulwood & Broughton only used three bowlers, Chris Brookes took 5-7 from 9 overs, Lewis Wellings 4-17 off 10 and Simon Kerrigan 1-5 from 1.2.
In reply opening batsmen Ewen Mansford 16no (25 balls)(3x4) and Matt Smith 13no (21 balls)(1x4,1x6) knocked off the runs in 7.4 overs.
For Lytham Sahaan Sahaan took 0-7 from 3 over, Sabbir Patel 0-7 off 1.4 and Antony Mulligan 0-16 from 3.
Penwortham v Barrow
Barrow won the toss at Middleforth Green and asked the hosts to bat first, Penwortham got off to a disastrous start losing four of the top five batsmen for 2 runs, Daryl Wearing bowled Kriston Yearwood off the first ball of the innings for 0, 0-1, Matt Halliday came in at three, in the next over Ian Walmsley Jr was caught behind by Sam Dutton off Hardus Coetzer for 0 (2 balls), 0-2.
Robbie Sumner was next in but Daryl Wearing struck again taking two wickets in one over, he had Robbie Sumner caught by Declan Tyson for 0 (15 balls), 2-3, Edward Duckwoth joined Halliday but off the last ball of the over he was caught by Hardus Coetzer for 0 (5 balls), 2-4.
Matt Halliday had a new partner in Rayyan Tailor and they began the rebuild, Sam Henderson stopped any progress trapping Rayyan Tailor lbw for 4 (22 balls), 20-5. Charlie Parker replaced Tailor and with Halliday began steadily to build up the score, their partnership was 52 when Matt Halliday was caught behind by Sam Dutton off Declan Tyson for 41 (103 balls)(5x4), 72-6.
Kane Donaghy was the new batsman and with Parker took the score past the hundred, Declan Tyson struck again having Kane Donaghy caught by Jack Singleton for 24 (17 balls)(2x4,2x6), 110-7. Matthew Finnerty came to the wicket but he soon lost Charlie Parker lbw to Declan Tyson for 36 (66 balls)(2x4,2x6), 120-6.
Nathan Walmsley was the incoming batsman and with Finnerty kept the scoreboard ticking over until Liam Walker had Nathan Walmsley lbw for 17 (31 balls)(2x6), 147-9. Isaac Roberts was number eleven and with Finnerty saw Penwortham close on 150-9 in their 50 overs, Matthew Finnerty was 11no (33 balls) and Isaac Roberts 1no (4 balls).
The Barrow bowling figures were Daryl Wearing took 3-13 from 11 overs, Declan Tyson 3-38 off 12, Sam Henderson 1-12 from 8, Liam Walker 1-18 off 4, Hardus Coetzer 1-32 from 11 and Simon Chadd 0-34 off 4.
The visitors reply was not a good one losing two quick wickets, Isaac Roberts the man doing the damage, he had opener Declan Tyson lbw for 0 (2 balls), 1-1, he then had number three Jonah Lowes caught by Matthew Finnerty for 3 (12 balls), 5-2.
Hardus Coetzer joined Simon Chadd and they put had on 49 when Matthew Finnerty bowled Hardus Coetzer for 37 (35 balls)(8x4), 54-3. Sam Dutton was next in and with Chadd had nearly doubled the score, Charlie Parker made the breakthrough trapping Simon Chadd lbw for 22 (84 balls)(2x4), 101-4.
Jack Singleton replaced Chadd and with Dutton saw the visitors to victory closing on 151-4 in 35.1 overs, Sam Dutton was 73no (6x6,6x6) and Jack Singleton 10 no (30 balls)(1x4).
For Penwortham Isaac Roberts took 2-27 from 7 overs, Charlie Parker 1-33 off 5.1, Matthew Finnerty 1-34 from 12 and Nathan Walmsley 0-54 off 11.
Thornton Cleveleys v Whalley
Whalley won the toss at Illawalla and put the hosts into bat, they had an early success Joshua Sackfield bowled by Levi Wolfenden for 3 (22 balls), 9-1. the hosts number three was Sam Curwen and with Josh Borrell were making steady progress, Monty Cort changed things taking three wickets, two in an over, he had Sam Curwen caught behind by Thomas Cameron for 27 (55 balls)94x4 , 73-2. Jacob Sackfield came to the wicket but in Mort's next over had him caught behind by Thomas Cameron for 1 (5 balls), 75-3, Evan Martin replaced Sackfield but 2 balls later was caught behind by Thomas Cameron for 0 (2 balls), 79-4.
Josh Borrell had a new partner in Christopher Hedges and they took the score to 100 when disaster struck with Christopher Hedges run out by Aman Singh for 13 (21 balls)(2x4), 100-5. The new batsman was Joshua Rolinson and with Borrell moved the score along, Josh Borrell was the next man out bowled by Hamish Mullavey-Clark for 69 (119 balls)(6x4,2x6), 150-6.
Will Weber came to the wicket but he soon fell to Hamish Mullavey-Clark bowled for 2 (6 balls), 166-7. next in was Jake Apperley and five runs later was caught by Daniel Ainsworth off Levi Wolfenden for 1 (4 balls), 171-8.
Ethan Elphick joined Joshua Rolinson and they saw Thornton Cleveleys close on 231-8 in their 50 overs with Joshau Roloinson 78no (52 balls)(7x4,4x6) and Ethan Elphick 18no (15 balls)(2x6).
The Whalley bowling was Monty Cort took 3-38 from 10, Hamish Mullavey-Clark 2-49 off 6, Levi Wolfenden 2-71 from 15, Ewan McDonald 0-14 off 4 and Joshua Dentith 0-53 from 15.
The Whalley reply lost an early wicket Aman Singh lbw to Jake Apperley for 7 (24 balls)(1x4), 22-1, Number three was Freddie Jackson and with Monty Cort took the score to 48 when they were both out, Freddie Jackson was first to go lbw to Anthony Ellison for 15 (15 balls)(3x4), Monty Cort fell in the next over stumped by Sam Curwen off Jake Apperley for 19 (38 balls)(2x4), 48-3.
We now had two new batsmen Levi Wolfenden and Hanish Mullavey-Clark, they were approaching the hundred when Levi Wolfenden was caught and bowled by Joshua Rolinson for 24 (33 balls)(4x4), 93-4. Sam Jackson was next in but disaster struck with Hamish Mullavey-Clark run out by Evan Martin for 21 (59 balls)(3x4), 113-5.
Daniel Ainsworth came to the wicket but with only one run added he was out caught by Ethan Elphick off Anthony Ellison for 0 (1 ball), 114-6. Thomas Cameron joined Sam Jackson and they were going well until Sam Jackson fell caught behind by Sam Curwen off Joshua Rolinson for 50 (52 balls)(7x4,2x6), 172-7.
The next man in was Joshua Dentith but he was soon out bowled by Christopher Hedges for 0 (2 balls), 179-8. Toby Birtwistle was the incoming batsman and in Christopher Hedges next over was bowled for 1 (6 balls), 191-9.
Number eleven was Ewan McDonald and forty runs were required from the last pair, Thomas Cameron went on the attack hitting eight fours and one six to see Whalley to victory closing on 235-9 in 49.3 overs, Thoamas Cameron was 75no (62 balls)(13x4,1x6) and Ewan McDonald 5no (5 balls)(1x4).
