The Northern Premier League 2025 season began today bringing in a new era for the League welcoming 7 new teams to the league
This season we will have two divisions of ten teams and a revamped 40 League Cup.
The first five weeks of the season will be the 40 over League cup matches starting today
The winners of this first round of games were Barrow, Blackpool, Chorley, Euxton, Fleetwood, Fulwood & Broughton, Garstang, Leyland Netherfield and Settle.
40 OVER LEAGUE CUP COMPETITION: ROUND 1
Carlisle v Blackpool
Carlisle in their first game in the Northern Premiership won the toss at Edenfield in this first round cup match and chose to field first.
Kasim Munir and Dylan Henshall were the visitors openers. Fraser Conn made the breakthrough with the fourth ball of the innings having Dyan Henshall caught behind by Tom Benn for 0 (1 ball), 3-1.
Andrew Needham came in at three but on the last ball of the first over he was run out by Johnny Westgarth for 0 (2 balls), 4-2. Matthew Taaffe was the next man in but was soon out caught by Zephani Arinaitwe off Nico Watt for 1 (9 balls), 11-3.
Josh Boyne replaced Taaffe and with Munir moved the score along with Boyne the main run maker, Their partnership was broken when Kasim Munir was caught behind by Tom Benn off Fraser Conn for 16 (55 balls), 92-4.
Ali Usman was the new batsman and with Boyne kept the scoreboard ticking over until Ben Purdham bowled Ali Usman for 12 (29 balls), 123-5.
Omar Tauqir was Boyne's new partner and they had a partnership of 40 broken with Tauqir out caught by Alex Raybould off Michael Slack for 20 (17 balls).
Stuart Ashford was the new man in, now in the final two overs Josh Boyne was bowled by Johnny Westgarth for 97 (111 balls) (11x4, 1x6). 175-7. Richard Gleeson 2no (3 balls) joined Stuart Ashford 4no (13 balls) and they saw Blackpool close on 179-5 in their 40 overs.
The Carlisle bowling figures were Nico Watt 2-30 from 8 overs, Fraser Conn 1-28 off 8, Ben Purdham 1-29 from 8, Johnny Westgarth 1-32 off 7, Michael Slack 1-34 from 8 and Zephania Arinaitwe 0-15 off 1.
The opening partnership for Carlisle were Zephania Arinaitwe and Oliver Spedding, with only nine runs on the board Richard Gleeson trapped Zephania Arinaitwe lbw for 6 (9 balls), 9-1.
Number three was Matthew Brown but he lasted only two balls bowled by Richard Gleeson for 0 9-2. Michael Slack was the new batsman and with Spedding dug in. Oliver Spedding was next out caught by Josh Boyne off Matthew Grindley for 4 (25 balls), 24-3.
Jamie Thomson was introduced into the attack and in he his first over removed Michael Slack caught by Andrew Needham for 11 (29 balls), 26-4, two balls later he had Alex Raybould lbw for 0 (2 balls), 26-5.
We now had two new batsmen, Ben Davidson and Nico Watt, once again a change of bowling saw Ben Davidson fall in Josh Boyne's first over caught by Matthew Taffe for 3 (32 balls), 30-6.
Tom Benn was the next man in but soon lost his partner Nico Watt stumped by Andrew Needham off Jamie Thomson for 3 (12 balls), 33-7.
Fraser Conn joined Tom Benn and they battled away, the return of the Richard Gleeson saw him bowl Faser Conn for 11 (29 balls) 51-8.
Ben Purdham replaced Conn but was soon out caught behind by Andrew Needham off Ali Usman for 1 (5 balls). 56-9. Last man in was Johnny Westgarth. The Carlisle innings closed on 63 all out in 33 overs with Tom Benn caught by Matthew Taaffe off Matthew Grindley for 8 (39 balls) with Johnny Westgarth 4no (15 balls).
The bowling figures were Jamie Thomson 3-11 from 6 0vers, Richard Gleeson 3-21 off 8, Matthew Grindley 2-13 from 7, Josh Boyne 1-4 off 5 and Ali Usman 1-12 from 7.
Chorley v Vernon Carus
Vernon Carus won the toss at Windsor Park and invited the hosts to bat first. The opening pair Will Moulton and Miller Childs gave them a good start, Will Moulton was the first to go bowled by Matthew Timms for 24 (27 balls), 42-1.
The Chorley number three was James Dunn and with Childs doubled the score, Ben Thomas broke the partnership having James Dunn caught by Robert Bridges for 22 (28 balls), 97-2. Next in was Keegen Petersen who soon last his partner Miller Childs bowled by Kashif Jamil for 51 (38 balls), 107-3.
Maxwell Seedall joined Petersen and they continued to make good progress until Maxwell Seedall was run out by Ian Dunn for 14 (32 balls), 143-4.
The new batsman was Edwin Moulton and with Keegan Petersen took control, they took the score to 252-4 in their 40 overs, Keegan Petersen was 99no (78 balls) (11x4, 2x6) and Edwin Moulton 35no (37 balls)(1x4, 1x6).
The Vernon Carus bowling was Ben Thomas 1-24 from 3 overs, Kashif Jamil 1-40 off 8, Matthew Timms 1-51 from 7, Jaxon Cornford 0-25 off 3, Ian Dunn 0-31 from 8 and Muhammad Patel 0-51 off 5.
Ian Dunn and Haren Shetty opened with a stand of 21 broken when Haren Shetty was caught by James Dunn off Miller Childs for 4 (19 balls), 21-1.
Wes Royle was the visitors number three and with Dunn had doubled the score when he was caught by James Dunn off Sam Steeple for 7 (20 balls), Jaxon Cornford was the new batsman but on reaching 6 (15 balls) he was bowled by Maxwell Seedall, 59-3.
Robert Bridges replaced Cornford, He and Ian Dunn began to make some progress until Sam Steeple struck again having Ian Dunn caught by Edwin Moulton for 46 (66 balls) (8x4), 96-4. Next in came Casey Sawley-Elliott who went quickly bowled by Kieran Yould for 7 (7 balls), 117-5.
The incoming batsman was Muhammad Patel and with Bridges were approaching the 150 mark when Joseph Tiffin bowled Patel for 8 (15 balls), 146-6.
Matthew Timms came to the wicket and saw Joseph Tiffin bowl Robert Bridges for 41 (54 balls) (7x4), 147-7. New batsman Ben Thomas was bowled by Edwin Moulton for 0 (6 balls), 148-8.
Jacob Holland 12no (12 balls) replaced Thomas and with Matthew Timms 26no (25 balls) saw the visitors close on 187-8 in their 40 overs.
For Chorley Sam Steeple took 2-31 from 8 overs, Joseph Tiffin 2-32 off 7, Maxwell Seedall 1-24 from 5, Edwin Moulton 1-25 off 8, Miller Childs 1-25 from 7 and Kieran Yould 1-42 off 5.
Fleetwood v Carnforth
Fleetwood won the toss at Broadwater and chose to bat first. The opening pair were Tomas King and Andy Drake, Their partnership was broken by James Park-Johnson bowling Tomas King for 14 (15 balls), 20-1.
In at three was Charlie Clark who soon became victim number two for James Park-Johnson caught by Bradley Hoyle for 4 (5 balls), 26-2.
Michael Rippon came to the wicket and with Andy Drake had a partnership of 100 broken when Michael Rippon was caught by Bradley Hoyle off Jaco Beneke for 43 (75 balls), 106-3. Harry McAleer joined Drake and they continued to make progress until Jaco Beneke struck having Andy Drake out lbw for 54 (101 balls), 140-4.
Nathan Bend was next in but was quickly out bowled by Dylan Conroy for 6 (5 balls), 147-5. Declan Clerkin replaced Bend but he also was soon out caught by Bradley Hoyle off Freddie Whatmuff for 4 (4 balls), 160-6.
The new batsman was Jeremy Davies and he lost Harry McAleer caught by Ryan Nelson off Freddie Whatmuff for 39 (29 balls), 176-7. Adam Sharrocks came to the wicket for the last ball of the innings, he scored two runs as Fleetwood closed on 178-7 with Jeremy Davies 8no (5 balls).
The bowling figures were Freddie Whatmuff 2-31 from 8 overs, Jaco Beneke 2-34 off 6.5, James Park-Johnson 2-36 from 8, Dylan Conroy 1-36 off 7, Jack Thompson 0-19 from 4 and Sam Woodburn 0-22 off 6.
The visitors got off to a bad start losing two wickets on the same score, opener Bradley Hoyle was out lbw to Declan Clerkin for 3 (17 balls), 18-1, two balls later number three Jaco Beneke was caught by Matthew Siddall off Clerkin for 0 (2 balls), 18-2.
The next man in was James Park-Johnson who fell in Matthew Siddall's second over lbw for 6 (14 balls), 33-3. Dylan Conroy replaced Park-Johnson but soon became wicket number two for Matthew Siddall caught by Adam Sharrocks for 5 (10 balls), 39-4.
In came Shane Dixon but he soon saw two wickets fall in three balls, Freddie Whatmuff was caught behind by Harry McAleer off Matthew Siddalll for 23 (39 balls), 44-5. two balls later Darren Nelson was caught by Adam Sharrocks off Mattew Siddall for 0 (2 balls), 44-6.
Michael Rippon was introduced into the attack and with his first ball caught and bowled Shane Dixon for 4 (9 balls), 44-7. Michael Rippon claimed his second wicket Jack Thompson stumped by Harry McAleer for 4 (9 balls), 47-8
The innings came to a close on 47-9 with Matthew Siddall claiming his fifth wicket with Alfie Hill caught behind by Harry McAleer ffor 0 (5 balls). Sam Woodburn was 0no, Ryan Nelson was absent and unable to bat.
Matthew Siddall lead the way with 5-4 from 5.1 overs supported by Michael Rippon 2-1 off 2, Dcelan Clerkin 2-14 from 5, Will Reader 0-10 off 3 and Jeremey Davies 0-16 from 4.
Great Eccleston v Settle
Great Eccleston won the toss at Hall Lane and elected to bat first, openers Nisanth Nithian and Rishit Sharma were soon parted Rishit Sharma caught by Zane Nirodi off Tom Davidson for 0 (2 balls), 7-1. Number three was Alexander Rhodes and with Nithian were going well until Nithian Nithian was bowled by Amar Ullah for 37 (45 balls), 93-2.
The new batsman was Mohamed Nadeem, Amar Ullah struck again bowling Alexander Rhodes for 51 (42 balls) (3x4, 4x6) 108-3. Matthew Lawrenson came in but lost his partner Mohamed Nadeem caught by Zane Nirodi off Benjamin Hulse for 14 (43 balls),123-4.
Ansar Noorstani replaced Nadeem but on reaching 11 (5 balls) he was caught by William Davidson off Jack Caton, 136-5. Richard Booth became Matthew Lawrenson's new partner and they moved the score along until William Davidson bowled Richard Booth for 17 (20 balls), 180-6.
Matthew Lawrenson soon followed bowled by Tom Davidson for 27 (48 balls), 184-7. The two new batsmen were Sandeep Gorige and Phil Booth, with only six runs added Amar Ullah bowled Sandeep Gorige for 5 (5 balls), 190-8.
In came Will Metcalf but out went Phil Booth bowled by Tom Davidson for 3 (4 balls), 192-9. The Great Eccleston innings closed on 200 all out in 38.3 overs when last man William Turnbull fell lbw to Tom Davidson for 5 (7 balls) leaving Will Metcalf 3no (10 balls).
The Settle bowling was Tom Davidson 4-49 from 7.3 overs, Amar Ullah 3-17 off 8, Benjamin Hulse 1-7 from 4, Jack Caton 1-22 off 4, William Davidson 1-53 from 8 and Gautam Waghela 0-45 off 7.
The Settle opening pair were Zane Nirodi and John Davidson who were soon parted Zane Nirodi run out by Nisanth Nithian for 8 (6 balls), 9-1.
The Settle number three was Gautam Waghela and with Davidson took complete control, their partnership of 164 was broken when John Davidson was bowled by Nisanth Nithian for 80 (54 balls), 173-2.
Amar Ullah 7no (11 balls) joined Gautam Waghela 90no (69 balls) as they saw the vistors home on 201-2 in 23.3 overs.
The bowling figures were Nisanth Nithian 1-51 from 6.3 overs, Will Metcalf 0-6 off 1, Sandeep Gorige 0-13 from 2, William Turnbull 0-18 off 2, Mohamed Nadeem 0-26 from 3, Ansar Noortani 0-26 off 2, Alexander Rhodes 0-29 from 3 and Phil Booth 0-30 off 4.
Kendal v Netherfield
Netherfield won the toss at Shap Road and invited the hosts to bat first, Freddie Fallows and Max Winskill were the Kendal openers, Freddie Fallows was the first to go caught by Josh Wills off Samuel Medhurst for 10 (10 balls), 20-1.
Number three for the hosts was Finlay Richardson and with Winskill were going along nicely until both were out on the same score, Matt Jackson bowled Max Winskill for 24 (53 balls), 73-2. Finlay Richardson followed lbw to Oli Wileman for 35 (39 balls), 73-3.
There were now two new batsmen Cole Abrahams and Bradley Earl, Cole Mcconchie was introduced into the attack and with his first ball had Bradley Earl caught behind by Will Beeden for 8 (16 balls), 101-4.
The next man in was James Bowman and the hosts continued to make progress, Josh Wills made the breakthrough James Bowman caught by Ben Barrow for 22 (35 balls), 145-5.Lewis Richardson came in and continued to keep the scoreboard ticking over until he was bowled by Samuel Medhurst for 7 (10 balls), 183-6
Cole Abrahams who had been scoring freely was the next to go caught by Josh Dixon off Oli Wileman for 77 (61 balls) (4x4, 6x6), 191-7. Louis Backhouse 14no (12 balls)(3x4) and Harry Temperton 0no (5 balls) saw Kendal close on 205-7 in their 40 overs.
The Netherfield bowling was Samuel Medhurst 2-38 from 8 overs, Oli Wileman 2-62 off 8, Matt Jackson 1-23 from 8, Cole Mcconchie 1-31 off 8 and Josh Wills 1-48 from 8.
The Netherfield opening pair were Reece Irving and Ben Barrow and they got off to a good start, The introduction of Chris Miller into the attack had immediate results with him having Ben Barrow caught by Cole Abrahams for 10 (32 balls), 40-2.
Cole Mcconchie came in at three but soon lost his partner Reece Irving bowled by Freddie Fallows for 22 (38 balls), 40-2.John Huck was the new batsman and with Mcconchie were going well until Freddie Fallows claimed his second victim bowling John Huck for 37 (59 balls), 126-3.
Richard Everett replaced Huck and continued the good run rate, Louis Backhouse was brought back into the attack and struck straight away having Cole Mcconchie caught by Chris Miller for 85 (71 balls) (7x4, 3x6), 173-4.
Josh Dixon was the new batsman but was soon out caught by Bradley Earl off Cole Abrahams for 7 (7 balls), 189-5. That was the last success for the hosts as Richard Everett 34no (29 balls) and Will Beeden 3no (3 balls) saw the visitors to victory on 206-5 in 39.2 overs

Leyland v Penwortham
Penwortham won the toss at the Stanning Memorial ground and put the hosts into bat, the Leyland opening pair of Karl Cross and Alexander Eyre got the hosts off to a brilliant start with an opening stand of 139 broken when Alexander Eyre was caught by Ryan Dimasi off Ashley Billington for 63 (64 balls) (8x4, 1x6), 139-1.
Sam Oldham came in at three and continued where Eyre left off, Karl Cross was next out caught by Ryan Dimasi off Jonathan Hothersall for 66 (80 balls) (9x4), 153-2.
Next in was Luke Hands who joined in the run fest, Sam Oldham was out in the last over caught by Charlie Parker off Ryan Maddock for 55 (59 balls) (3x4, 2x6), 237-3.
Andrew Makinson 1no (1 ball) and Luke Hands 33no (38 balls) saw Leyland close on 238-3 in their 40 overs.
The Penwortham bowling was Jonathan Hothersall 1-34 from 6 overs, Ashley Billington 1-47 off 8, Ryan Maddock 1-57 from 8, Matthew Finnerty 0-23 off 2, Ryan Robert 0-36 from 8 and Nathann Walmsley 0-38 off 8.
Charlie Parker and Ryan Dimasi opened for the visitors, Charlie Parker was out first caught behind by Adam Sexton off Luke Hands for 10 (14 balls), 17-1.
The Penwortham number three was Jonathan Hothersall and with Dimasi went on the attack resulting in a change of bowling, Will Smith came on and with his second ball had Ryan Dimasi caught by Andrew Jacques for 40 (18 balls) (7x4, 1x6), 72-2.
Ryan Maddock joined Hothersall and they continued to score quickly, Ned Patterson made the breakthrough for the hosts bowling Joanathan Hothersall for 45 (44 balls), (8x4), 114-3. Robbie Sumner came to the wicket but was soon out caught by Alexander Eyre off Andrew Jacques for 5 (19 balls), 127-4.
Harish Humsa was next in and supported Ryan Maddock until he suffered the sam fate as Sumner out caught Alexander Eyre bowled Andrew Jacques for 11 (17 balls), 152-5.
Nathan Walmsley came to the wicket with 86 runs with around 8 an over required, He was the next man out caught behind by Adam Sexton off Will Smith for 16 (27 balls), 179-6.
Will Smith then claimed his third victim new batsman Kane Donaghy bowled for 4 (7 balls), 190-7. Ned Patterson struck the vital blow having Ryan Maddock caught by Alexander Eyre for 51 (74 balls) (3x4), 194-8.
The Penwortham innings closed on 203-9 with Ryan Roberts out on the last ball of the innings caught by Ross Bretherton off Luke Hands for 7 (14 balls), Ashley Billington was 2no (7 balls).
The bowling figures were Will Smith 3-41 from 8 overs, Ned Patterson 2-25 off 8, Andrew Jacques 2-30 from 8, Luke Hands 2-38 off 4, Ross Bretherton 0-32 from 4 and Sam Oldham 0-36 off 8.
Longridge v Euxton
Longridge won the toss at the Newsham Memorial ground and chose to bat first, Openers Taariq Chiecktey and Lewis Garstang got the hosts off to a great start scoring their runs quickly, Louis Sweeney came on to bowl and in his second over he caught and bowled Lewis Garstang for 25 (32 balls) (3x4, 1x6), 84-1.
Luke Platt came in at three but was soon out caught by Joseph Bowden off James Bone for 1 (8 balls), 96-2. Zac Chrisite was next in and with Chiecktey kept the score rate at 6 an over, Taariq Chiecktey reached his century in the 24th over but was out in the same over for 101 (93 balls) (12x4, 46) bowled by Joseph Barker, 151-3.
Zach Proctor was the new batsman but lost his partner Zac Christie caught by Joseph Barker off James Bone without addition to the score for 16 (22 balls), 151-4.
Kieran McClintock replaced Christie and was scoring at nearly a run a ball when he fell caught by Lewis Sweeney off Elliot Mackrael for 15 (18 balls), 192-5. Tom Howarth was Zach Proctor's new partner but became Elliot Mackrael's second victim bowled for 8 (15 balls), 212-6.
Zach Proctor 38no (51 balls) and new batsman Henry Proctor 3no (4 balls) saw the hosts close on 221-6 in their 40 overs.
For Euxton the bowling figures were Louis Sweeney 3-39 from 6 overs, Elliot Mackrael 2-25 off 5, James Bone 2-40 from 8, Louis Sweeney 1-30 off 6, Joseph Barker 1-54 from 8, Ben Houghton 0-24 off 6 and Joseph Bowden 0-35 from 7.
The visitors got off to a bad start losing Jack Shovelton bowled by Kieran McClintock for 1 (5 balls), 17-1. In at three for Euxton was Hakeem Perryman and with opener Josh Tolley they were scoring at eight an over when Josh Tolley was out caught by Tom Howarth off Ollie Mullin for 40 (38 balls) (5x4, 1x6), 83-2
Ben Houghton joined Perryman and kept up a fast scoring rate, the score was just past the 150 when Hakeem Perryman was out caught by Tom Howarth off Gabriel Dowthwaite for 63 (56 balls) (9x4, 2x6), 157-3.
James Bone came in letting Ben Houghton lead the way but with eight runs short of victory Jake Durnell bowled Ben Houghton for 82 (72 balls) (13x4, 2x6), 213-4.
New batsman Max Harper 8no (6 balls) (2x4) and James Bone 8no (26 balls) saw the visitors home on 223-4 in 32.5 overs
The Longridge bowling was Gabriel Dowthwaite 1-28 from 6 overs, Ollie Mullin 1-34 off 5, Jake Durnell 1-46 from 7.5, Kieran McClintock 1-64 off 7, Henry Proctor 0-9 from 1, Zach Proctor 0-15 off 1 and Tom Howarth 0-23 from 5.
Mawdesley v Barrow
Mawdesley won the toss at Rectory Field and elected to bat first, The hosts got off to a bad start losing Fyffe Dennis caught by Dan Adams off Daryl Wearing for 1 (9 balls), 4-1.
Daniel Unsworth came in at three and with Ben Munslow steadily moved the score along, the stand was broken when Ben Munslow was bowled by Dikshant Vairagi for 29 (58 balls) (4x4), 52-2.
Aneeq Hassan was the incoming batsman but with only nine runs added saw his partner Daniel Unsworth fall caught by Sam Dutton off Dikshant Vairgi for 15 (56 balls), 63-3. The new man in was Nathan Trengrove who moved the score on, Dikshant Vairgi claimed his third wicket Aneeq Hassan caught behind by Drew Postlethwaite for 21 (28 balls) (3x4), 88-4.
Lee Berrie replaced Hassan and with Trengove took the score past the hundred only for Trengove to fall stumped by Drew Postlethwaite off Gary Collins for 20 (29 balls), 109-5.
Kasim Masood was in next but lost Lee Berrie caught Drew Postlethwaite bowled Gary Collins for 15 (25 balls) (2x4), 121-6. The Barrow bowlers contained the Mawdesley batsmen to 20 runs in the last 5 overs, Mawdesley closed their 40 over innings on 141-6 with Kasim Masood 15no (20 balls) and Oliver Elliot 9no (17 balls).
The bowling figures for Barrow was Dikshant Vairagi 3-21 from 8 overs, Gary Collins 2-14 off 4, Daryl Wearing 1-18 from 8, Sajid Khan 0-14 off 4, Sam Henderson 0-24 from 8 and Sam Dutton 0-46 off 8.
The Barrow reply followed that of the hosts losing an opener early, Drew Postlethwaite was out lbw to Joshua Adamson for 6 (12 balls)14-1.
Simon Chadd was the new batsman supporting opener Sam Dutton added seventy runs when Sam Dutton was caught by Neil O'Malley off Kasim Masood for 53 (47 balls) (9x4), 84-2.
Dikshant Vairagi joined Simon Chadd but with only four runs added both were out, Simon Chadd went first lbw to Oliver Elliot for 17 (45 balls) (2x4), 88-3, Dikshant Vairagi followed caught by Oliver Elliot off Kasim Masood for 2 (9 balls), 88-4.
There were two new batsmen at the crease Jack Singleton and Ross McMurdo, Ross McMurdo soon became Kasim Masood's next victim bowled for 1 (8 balls), 92-5.
Daryl Wearing was the next man in and was quickly out caught by Neil O'Malley off Oliver Elliot for 0 (8 balls), 96-6.
Barrow were in trouble with Sam Henderson walking to the wicket but with Jack Singleton they steadily moved towards victory. They scored the winning runs reaching 142-6 in 34.3 overs. Jack Singleton was 30no (50 balls)(3x4) and Sam Henderson 17no (26 balls)(2x4, 1x6).
For Mawdesley Kasim Masood took 3-19 from 8, Oliver Elliot 2-14 off 8, Joshua Adamson 1-42 from 7.3, Aneeq Hassan 0-7 off 2, Louis Royal 0-39 from 3 and Neil O'Malley 0-30 off 6.
St Annes v Garstang
Garstang won the toss at Vernon Road and decided to bat first, openers Tom Higson and Michael Walling gave them a very good start. Tom Bradley was introduced into the attack and in his second over he bowled Michael Walling for 33 (35 balls)(5x4, 1x6), 79-1.
The Garstang number three was Joseph Pearson and with Tom Higson had a stand of 93 runs broken by Alex Urquhart having Joseph Pearson caught behind by James Bradley for 46 (57 balls)(5x4, 2x6), 172-2.
Sumit Ruikar was next in but lost his partner Tom Higson caught by Nathan Bolus off Alex Urquart for 75 (71 balls)(7x4, 4x6), 183-3. Mark Walling was the new batsman but with only ten runs added Sumit Ruikar was caught by Joshua Holden off Lukman Vahaluwala for 15 (18 balls), 193-4.
Matthew Crowther replaced Ruikar and with Walling kept the scoreboard moving along, chasing runs in the final overs Mark Walling fell caught by Christopher Wilson off Rory Urquart for 21 (17 balls)(2x6), 230-5.
New man Dan Curwen 18no (13 balls) (2x4,1x6) and Matthew Crowther 21no (30 balls)(2x4) saw Garstang close on 257-5 in their 40 overs.

The St Annes reply got off to a disastrous start losing three quick wicket with Corey Cater doing the damage with 3 wickets in one over. He had Nathan Armstrong caught behind by Matthew Crowther for 2 (7 balls), 3-1. Three balls later Luke Jardine was caught by Ernie Collinson for 4 (3 balls)(1x4), 7-2. next ball he bowled Ankur Malik for 0(1 ball), 7-3.
Joshua Holden joined Christopher Wilson and they tried to rebuild the innings, Holden was leading the way but lost Christopher Wilson caught and bowled by Joe Barlow for 0 (14 balls), 30-4.
Lukman Vahaluwala was in next, Sumit Ruikar struck with two wickets in two balls, Lukman Vahaluwala was out lbw for 1 (14 balls), 47-5. the new batsman was Nathan Bolus who was out caught by Mark Walling for 0 (1 balls), 47-6.
Thomas Bradley replaced Bolus and gave some support the Joshua Holden until he was bowled by Sumit Ruikar for 6 (15 balls), 55-7. Alex Urquart came to the wicket and dug in.
