The seventh round of matches in the Northern Premier League 2024 season saw the weather once again effect the fixtures with three games abandoned without a ball being bowled,
Fleetwood took advantage with a win over St Annes to return to the top of the table.
Fulwood & Broughton defeated Garstang and Kendal had a winning draw against Leyland
The abandoned games were at Euxton v Chorley, Longridge v Blackpool and Settle v Netherfield

Euxton v Chorley

Fleetwood v St Annes
Fleetwood won the toss at Broadwater and elected to bat, They made 166-9 in their 50 overs with Vathsal Govind top scoring with 46, there were contributions from Harry McAleer 33, Declan Clerkin 20, Tomas King 13, Andy Drake 13 and Jeremy Davies 11.
Lukman Vahaluwala lead the St Annes bowling with 5-30 from 15 overs, Tom Bradley took 2-48 off 15, Joe Davies 2-50 from 10 and Yohan De Silva 0-28 off 10
In reply St Annes got off to a bad start losing Yohan De Silva for 2, Luke Jardine 34, Nathan Bolus 33 and Nathan Armstrong were the only batsmen to reach double figures for the visitors as they were bowled out for 109 in 44.1 overs.
Declan Clerkin did the damage with 6-34 from 15 overs with Vathsal Govind 2-31 off 10, Jeremy Davies 1-12 from 1.2, Matthew Siddall 1-15 off 14 and Kian Farnworth 0-15 from 3
Fulwood & Broughton v Garstang
Garstang won the toss in a 64 over match at the Highfield ground and asked the hosts to bat first, Matthew Smith and Dom Jackson opened and were soon parted with Dom Jackson caught by Joseph Pearson off Ian Walling for 1 (6 balls), 7-1
Ian Walling claimed his second wicket that of the incoming batsman Brendan Morris caught by Danny Gilbert for 0 (8 balls). 9-2. James McWilliam joined Matthew Smith and they were going well until they both were out with the score on 94, James McWilliam was bowled by Waris Khan for 36 (58 balls), 94-3, Matthew Smith followed lbw to Michael Walling for 52 (73 balls), 94-4.
Muhammad Zaid and Lewis Wellings were the new batsmen, Michael Walling claimed his second victim Lewis Wellings caught by Tom Higson for 2 (8 balls), 108-5, five runs later Muhammad Zaid was bowled by Michael Walling for 13 (10 balls), 113-6.
James Lupton and Ben Parkinson were the new partnership broken by Michael Walling having Ben Parkinson caught by Joseph Pearson for 14 (11 balls), 128-7, James Lupton fell caught behind by Matthew Crowther off Danny Gilbert for 11 (14 balls), 138-8.
The Fulwood & Brouhghton innings closed on 139-9 in 32 their overs with Marcus Allen run out by Danny Gilbert for 1 (1 ball) with Khalil Patel 1no (3 balls).
For Garstang Michael Walling took 4-9 from 5 overs, Ian Walling 2-21 off 8, Waris Khan 1-30 from 4, Danny Gilbert 1-42 off 8, Tom Higson 0-12 from 3 and Gregour Carr 0-18 off 4.
The Garstang reply got off to a bad start losing two early wickets, Tom Higson was caught by Ben Parkinson off Chris Brookes for 1 (4 balls), 3-1, His opening partner Michael Walling fell lbw to Khalil Patel for 3 (10 balls), 7-2.
Imran Butt and Mark Walling set about rebuilding the innings but on reaching 33 Mark Walling was caught by Marcus Allen off Brendan Morris for 20 (21 balls), 33-3.
Ian Walling joined Imran Butt and with Butt leading the way took the total to 83 when Morris struck having Ian Walling caught by Khalil Patel for 9 (18 balls), 83-4
Ashton Charles was next in but James Lupton swung the game in the hosts favour by having Imran Butt caught by Ben Parkinson for 63 (73 balls), 101-5.
The visitors cause was not helped with the loss of three wickets on 106, Lupton struck again bowling Matthew Crowther for 2 (6 balls), 106-6, new batsman Danny Gilbert was run out by James McWilliam for 0 (1 ball), 106-7, then Ashton Charles was caught behind by James McWilliam off Brendan Morris for 7 (26 balls), 106-8.
Joseph Pearson and Gregour Carr were scoring at a run a ball when James McWilliam ran out Joseph Pearson for 10 (8 balls), 119-9. Khalil Patel gave the hosts victory by closing the Garstang innings on 130 in 29.4 overs by having Gregour Carr caught by Ben Parkinson for 9 (7) with Waris Khan 3no (4 balls).
The Fulwood & Brougton bowling was Khalil Patel 3-23 from 7.4 overs, James Lupton 2-20 off 5, Brendan Morris 2-27 from 8, Chris Brookes 1-30 off 6, Dom Jackson 0-10 from 1 and Lewis Wellings 0-17 off 2
Leyland v Kendal
Leyland won the toss in a 76 over game at the Stanning Memorial ground and put the visitors into bat, Evan Williams went early caught and bowled by Kurtis Watson for 0 (5 balls), 14-1.
The Kendal number three was Max Winskill, Kurtis Watson took his second wicket Freddie Fallows caught behind by Adam Sexton for 30 (23 balls), 32-2. Finlay Richardson was in next but lost his partner Max Winskill another Kurtis Watson victim caught by Ross Bretherton for 15 (40 balls), 49-3.
Bradley Earl joined Richatdson and they took the score past the hundred, Andrew Jacques made the breakthrough having Finlay Richardson caught by Zak Willox for 25 (50 balls), 114-4. Tim Boyd joined Earl and they were keeping the scoreboard ticking over until Andrew Jacques bowled Bradley Earl for 48 (46 runs), 130-5.
The new batsman was Lewis Richardson and with Boyd took the score to 160 when they were both out, Lewis Richardson went first stumped by Adam Sexton off Andrew Jacques for 15 (17 balls), 160-6. Tim Boyd followed caught by Karl Cross off Iain Critchley for 17 (20 balls), 160-7.
Iain Critchley claimed his second wicket Chris Miller caught by Kurtis Watson for 2 (5 balls), 164-8, Andrew Jacques bowled Sam Sharp for 1 (9 balls), 166-9.
Joseph Dodds was run out by Karl Cross for 2 (6 balls) as Kendal were 172 all out in 37.1 overs. Kuldeep Singh was 2no (5 balls).
Andrew Jacques took 4-50 from 10 overs, Kurtis Watson 3-25 off 9, Iain Critchley 2-36 from 6.1 and Ross Bretherton 0-51 off 12.
The Leyland reply did not go well losing both openers early, Karl Cross was lbw to Kuldeep Singh for 4 (6 balls), 4-1, James Critchley soon followed caught behind by Finlay Richardson off Sam Sharp for 4 (11 balls), 9-2.
Zak Willox and Kurtis Watson were the new batsmen, Kuldeep Singh had Kurtis Watson caught behind by Finlay Richardson for 5 (16 balls), 23-3. Ross Bretherton joined Willox and they moved the score along slowly but with the score on 41 both were out, Kuldeep Singh bowled Ross Btertherton for 3 (17 balls), 41-4 then Chris Miller bowled Zak Willox for 23 (41 balls), 41-5.
Chris Miller caused the hosts further trouble having Andrew Makinson caught by Kuldeep Singh for 7 (19 balls), 54-6. There were over 16 overs to go with only four wickets in hand, James Rounding and Iain Critchley set about saving the game, with five overs to go Chris Miller had James Rounding caught by Freddie Fallows for 37 (57 balls), 122-7.
One run was added when Kuldeep Singh had new batsman Adam Sexton caught behind by Finley Richadson for 1 (6 balls), 123-8. Kuldeep Singh claimed his fifth wicket Iain Critchley caught behind by Finlay Richardson for 28 (41 balls) 126-9.
Will Smith 4no (9 balls) and Andrew Jacques 3no (6 balls) saw the remaing balls out as Leyland closed on 130-9 in their 38 overs.
The Kendal bowling was Kuldeep Singh 5-28 from 12 overs, Chris Miller 3-38 of 12, Sam Sharp 1-22 from 7 and Freddie Fallows 0-34 off 7.
