DIVISION ONE:
Fleetwood v Euxton
Euxton won the toss at Broadwater and decided to bat first but got off to a very bad start losing two wickets with only one run on the board.
Both openers were out, Chris Pearson was out first ball caught behind by Harry McAleer off Declan Clerkin for 0 (1 ball), 1-1, Fellow opener Max Harper was bowled by Kian Farnworth for 0 (8 balls), 1-2
James Bone and Aneeq Hassan were the new batsmen given the task of rebuilding the innings, Declan Clerkin struck bowling James Bone for 1 (27 balls), 13-3.
Zane Gilder came in next and was the middle man of three wickets which fell with the score on 24, Aneeq Hassan was the first caught behind by Harry McAleer off Declan Clerkin for 13 (38 balls), 24-4, Zane Gilder next caught and bowled by Matthew Siddall for 2 (8 balls), 24-5 and lastly Jack Shovelton bowled by Declan Clerkin for 0 (4 balls), 24-6
If the visitors thought it could not get any worse they were wrong and they lost their last four wickets with the total on 29. Matthew Siddall was the destroyer in chief with Declan Clerkin assisting.
Joseph Barker was the start of the collapse stumped by Harry McAleer off Matthew Siddall for 2 (11 balls), 29-7, Declan Clerkin claimed his fifth wicket having Dave McCabe lbw for 3 (17 balls), 29-8, Louis Sweeney was next caught behind by Harry McAleer off Matthew Siddallfor 0 (3 balls) 29-9.
Two balls later Matthew Siddall bowled Daniel Rigby for 0 (2 balls) as Euxton were 29 all out in 19.5 overs with Joseph Bowden 0no
The spin twins destroyed the visitors with Declan Clerkin taking 5-12 from 10 overs, Matthew Siddall 4-7 off 4.5 and Kian Farnworth 1-4 from 5
The hosts did not have an easy time when they replied, James Bone giving them food for thought, he removed Tomas King caught by Chris Pearson for 1 (13 balls), 9-1, He then took two wickets in three balls, Andy Drake was caught behind by Dave McCabe for 9 (19 balls) 10-2, new man Adam Sharrocks was bowled two balls later for 0 (2 balls), 10-3
Vathsal Govind and Harry McAleer were the new batsmen but James Bone was not finished he had Harry McAleer caught by Zane Gilder for 1 (6 balls), 14-4. Declan Clerkin replaced McAleer and with a four an six gave the hosts victory closing on 32-4 in 11.3 overs. Declan Clerkin was 14no (13 balls) with Vathsal Govind 6no (16 balls).
James Bone finished with 4-20 from 5.3 overs with Aneeq Hassan 0-10 off 5 and Louis Sweeney 0-1 from 1
Garstang v Kendal
Kendal won the toss at the Riverside Sports ground and invited the hosts to bat first, Michael Walling and Tom Higson gave them a good start broken by Sam Sharp trapping Michael Walling lbw for 18 (25 balls), 35-1.
Imran Butt came in at three only to suffer the same fate as Michael Walling lbw to Sam Sharp for 0 (6 balls), 35-2, Mark Walling joined Tom Higson but with only six runs addded he was bowled by Sam Sharp for 2 (15 balls). 41-3
The new batsman was Ashton Charles who lost his partner Tom Higson another victom for Sam Sharp caught by Tim Boyd for 24 (45 balls), 50-4. Sam Sharp claimed his fifth wicket that of Ashton Charles bowled for 8 (15 balls), 53-5.
The two new batsmen with the task of rebuilding the innings were Joseph Pearson and Matthew Crowther, The partnership was short Matthew Crowther caught by Lewis Richardson off Freddie Fallows for 0 (16 balls), 56-6, Ian Walling replaced Crowther but did not fare any better trapped lbw by Sam Sharp for 0 (4 balls), 57-7.
Danny Gilbert was next in and suffered the same fate as the previous batsman lbw to Sam Sharp for 1 (6 balls) 61-8. Charlie Parkinson was Joseph Pearson's next partner and he hung around before being bowled by Freddie Fallows for 0 (17 balls), 67-9
Last man Waris Khan scored at nearly a run a ball until Joseph Pearson's battling innings came to a close lbw to Freddie Fallows for 13 (61 balls) as Garstang were 80 all out in 37.4 overs with Waris Khan 12no (16 balls),
Sam Sharp's devastating spell of bowling produced the figures of 7-12 from 15 over with Freddie Fallows 3-33 off 14.4, Evan Williams 0-7 from 4 and Kuldeep Singh 0-27 off4
The Kendal innigs got off to a bad start with Danny Gilbert bowling Freddie Fallows for 1 (6 balls), 1-1, Sam Dutton and Max Winskill knuckled down and steadily kept the scoreboard ticking over.
They looked to be on the road to an easy victory when three wickets fell on 49, Max Winskill was bowled by Waris Khan for 10 (46 balls), 49-2, Sam Dutton followed caught behind by Matthew Crowther off Charlie Pearson for 37 (57 balls), 49-3, Charlie Pearson two balls later bowled Bradley Earl for 0 (2 balls) 49-4
Evan Williams and Finlay Richardson set their stall out to retrieve the situation and they looked to be in sight of victory when Imran Butt had Evan Williams caught by Michael Walling for 10 (29 balls), 75-5, Danny Gilbert had the new batsman Lewis Richardson lbw for 0 (3 balls), 76-6, New man Tim Boyd 2no (5 balls) and Finlay Richardson 19no (27 balls) saw the hosts home on 81-6 in 29.1 overs.
The Garstang bowling was Charlie Parkinson 2-21 from 7 overs, Danny Gilbert 2-24 off 8.1, Imran Butt 1-6 from 2, Waris Khan 1-13 off 4 and Ian Walling 0-16 from 8
Mawdesley v Leyland
Leyland won the toss at the Stanning Memorial ground and elected to bat first, Karl Cross and James Critchley gave the hosts a good start. Joshua Adamson broke the partnership having James Critchley caught behind by Fyffe Dennis for 10 (27 balls), 39-1
Jacob Wright was in at three but with 21 runs added Karl Cross fell caught by Lee Berrie off Matthew Parkinson for 31 (54 balls), 60-2.
The new batsman was Kurtis Watson and with Jacob Wright were moving the score along until Matthew Parkinson bowled Kurtis Watson for 13 (28 balls), 84-3. Jacob Clarke joined Wright and they were doing very well, their partnership was 41 broken by Neil O'Malley bowling Jacob Clarke for 16 (34 balls), 125-4
James Rounding was the incoming batsman and soon became Neil O'Malley's second victim caught by Christopher Andrews for 4 (19 balls), 139-5. Benjamin Baker replaced Rounding, Dominic Hendricks had him caught by Lee Berrie for 4 (10 balls), 152-6.
Iain Critchley became Wright's next partner and they took the score past the 200 mark, Jacob Wright was out with one over to go stumped by Fyffe Dennis off Dominic Hendricks for 70 (92 balls), 202-7. Iain Critchley 25no (34 balls and Adam Sexton 1no (2 balls) saw the hosts close on 205-7 in their 50 overs.
The wickets were shared amongst the Mawdesley bowlers, Matthew Parkinson 2-29 from 9 overs, Neil O'Malley 2-37 off 10 overs, Dominic Hendricks 2-41 from 11, Christopher Andrews 0-16 off 3 and Joshua Unsworth 0-39 from 10.
The visitors innings got off to a disastrous start loseing three cheap wickets, Kurtis Waston had Dominic Hendricks lbw for 1 (3 balls), 2-1, number three Christopher Andrews was bowled by Jacob Clarke for 1 (3 balls), 3-2 and Clarke then had Toby Ambrose caught by Karl Cross for 1 (15 balls), 5-3.
Daniel Unsworth and Nathan Trengrove dug in and began to slowly get the scoreboard moving again, Kurtis Watson made the breakthrough with Daniel Unsworth caught behind by Adam Sexton for 14 (46 balls), 27-4, Lee Berrie joined the fight but on reaching 10 (20 balls) he fell lbw to Andrew Jacques. 45-5
Fyffe Dennis was the new batsman, Four runs had been added when disaster struck for the visitors losing three wickets without addition, Iain Critchley bowled Nathan Trengrove for 21 (73 balls), 49-6, Andrew Jacques took two wickets in four balls, firstly Fyffe Dennis caught by Karl Cross for 0 (14 balls) 49-7, followed by Joshua Adamson caught by Kurtis Watson for 0 (3 balls), 49-8.
Joshua Unsworth and Matthew Parkinson began the fight to try and avoid defeat, They had made 21 when Joshua Unsworth was caught by Andrew Jacques off Kurtis Watson for 14 (41 balls), 71-9. Iain Critchley closed the innings by bowling Matthew Parkinson for 6 (24 balls) as Mawdesley were 71 all out in 40.2 overs with Neil O'Malley 0no (1 ball).
Four bowlers shared the wickets, Kurtis Watson 3-17 from 10 overs, Andrew Jacques 3-17 off 8, Iain Critchley 2-22 from 7.2, Jacob Clarke 2-19 off 11 and Benjamin Baker 0-7 from 4
Netherfield v Blackpool
Netherfield won the toss at Parkside Road and invited the visitors to bat first, Kasim Munir and Rishit Sharma opened with a partnership off 22, Rishit Sharma was the man out bowled by Josh Wills for 8 (15 balls), 22-1.
Andrew Needham was in at three but with the score on 40 he lost his partner Kasim Munir caught by Oli Wileman off Isaac Medhurst for 21 (59 balls), 40-2
Jameel Stuart joined Andrew Needham and they were going along nicely when the weather intervened with the score 102-2 in 26 overs and no further play was possible, Andrew Needham was 47no (59 balls) and Jameel Stuart 20no (24 balls).
For Netherfield Josh Wills took 1-17 from 7, Isaac Medhurst 1-23 off 8, Samuel Medhurst 0-7 from 3, Oli Wileman 0-24 off 2 and Matt Jackson 0-27 from 6
Settle v Longridge
Settle made their home debut in the Northern Premier Cricjet Leage at Marshfield, Longridge won the toss and decided to bat first, Joshua Mullin and Luke Platt opened and were parted by Tom Davidson having Joshua Mullin caught behind by Robbie Davidson for 16 (34 balls), 25-1.
Zac Christie came in at three and with Luke Platt had a partnership of 107 broken when Zac Christie was caught by Archie Phillipson off Ashen Silva for 56 (85 balls), 132-2, Taatiq Chiecktey was next in and became Ashen Silva's next victim caught by Tom Davidson for 12 (17 balls), 155-3
We were now in the last ten overs and the visitors were going for the runs, New man Rob Hollinghurst was next out bowled by Archie Phillipson for 6 (14 balls), 185-5, Luke Platt's long innings came to an end caught by Li Smith off Ashen Silva for 79 (124 balls), 185-5.
Ashen Silva claimed two wickets in four balls, Tom Turner caught by Tom Davidson for 4 (5 balls), 192-6, he claimed his fifth wicket when bowling Alex Mason for 0 (3 balls) 192-7.
Jake Durnell replaced Mason and was bowled by Amar Ullah for 4 (4 balls), 199-8, Zach Proctor 11no (15 balls) and Matt Greenall 2no (2 balls) saw the visitors close on 203 for 8 in their 50 overs.
Ashen Silva lead the way for Settle with 5-61 from 15 overs with Tom Davidson 1-23 0ff 6, Amar Ullah 1-37 from 9, Archie Phillipson 1-37 off 7, William Davidson 0-9 from 4, Lewis Smith 0-10 off 3 and Li Smith 0-16 from 6
The Settle reply got off to a good start but then had a collapse losing 5 wickets for nine runs, Openers Archie Phillipson and Lewis Smith's partnership was 54 broken with Lewis Smith out lbw to Alex Mason for 31 (40 balls), 54.1, Ashen Silva came to the wicket and suffered the same fate out lbw to Jake Durnell for 0 (6 balls), 55-2.
Alex Mason then removed new batsman John Davidson for 0 (6 balls), 56-3, To the visitors delight opener Archie Phillipson went next bowled by Alex Mason for 24 (44 balls), 57-4. Tom Davidson replaced Phillipson and quickly became Alex Mason's fourth victim caught behind by Tom Turner for 6 (3 balls), 63-5.
Amar Ullah and William Davidson set about rebuilding the innings, their partnership was going nicely at a run a ball but on reaching 41 Matt Greenall had William Davidson caught by Zac Christie for 20 (18 balls), 104-6. Robbie Davidson was Amar Ullah's next partner but fell caught by Taariq Chiecktey off Alex Mason for 9 (14 balls), 119-7.
Victory looked a long way off but new batsman Benjamin Hulse backed up Amar Ullah and they had moved the score onto 162 when Benjamin Hulse was caught by Rob Hollinghurst off Jonathan Millward for 19 (50 balls), 162-8. Number ten Li Smith 8no (23 balls) and Amar Ullah 80no (88 balls) saw the hosts home on 204-8 in 48.4 overs.
Alex Mason had 5-47 from 15 overs, Matt Greenall 1-36 off 8, Jake Durnell 1-49 from 15 and Jonathan Millward 1-66 off 10.4
St Annes v Chorley
Chorley won the toss at Vernon Road and chose to bat first and lost Will Moulton lbw to Lukman Vahaluwala in the second over for 0 (6 balls), 3-1. Number three was Harry Barclay who took over the roll of keeping the scoreboard ticking over, He lost his partner Miller Childs lbw to Ashen Daluwattage for 9 (49 balls), 46-2
Marques Ackerman was in next and with Barclay had a partnership of 116 broken by Yohan De Silva having Marques Ackerman lbw for 60 (62 balls), 162-3, Sunny John was the new man and he became Yohan De Silva's second wicket lbw for 14 (13 balls), 189-4.
Kieran Yould replaced John and was out caught by Yohan De Silva off Mitch Bolus for 6 (12 balls), 199-5, Harry Barclay reached his hundred and was out shortly afterwards bowled by Lukman Vahaluwala for 107 (134 balls) (14x4 2x6), 217-6
In the last few overs the wickets fell, Ben Simpkins was lbw to Lukman Vahauwala for 0 (2 balls), 221-7, Mitch Bolus claimed two wickets in two balls, James Dunn was bowled for 5 (7 balls), 242-8 and Sam Steeple was out next ball bowled for 0 (1 ball), 242-9. Zayn Wadiwala 20no (16 balls) and Matt Dawson 2no (1 ball) saw the vicitors close on 244-9 in their 50 overs
The St Annes bowling was Lukman Vahaluwala 3-61 from 14, Mitch Bolus 3-64 off 13, Yohan De Silva 2-43 from 15, Ashen Daluwattage 1-24 off 4 and Tom Bradley 0-34 from 4
Yohan De Silva and Luke Jardine got the hosts off to a good start, there was 33 run on the board when Luke Jardine was caught by Will Moulton off Sam Steeple for 9 (24 balls), 33-1.
Nathan Bolus was the St Annes number three and with De Silva were moving into a good position but the introduction of Matt Dawson changed all that, in his second over he had Yohan De Silva caught behind for 52 (67 balls), 126-2, soon afterwards he claimed the vital wicket of Nathan Bolus caught by Kieran Yould for 65 (67 balls), 144-3.
Lukman Vahaluwala and Nathan Armstron were the batsman with the task of keeping the scoreboard moving along, Lukman Vahaluwala was bowled by Marques Ackerman for 17 (32 balls) 158-4. Mitch Bolus replaced and dug in but he became Matt Dawson's third victim caught by Ben Simpkins for 1 (21 balls), 165-5.
The St Annes cause was not helped with the loss of two wickets one run later, Ryan Birkman was out lbw to Marques Ackerman for 0 (3 balls), 166-6 followed by Nathan Armstrong caught by Marques Ackerman off Matt Dawson for 9 (27 balls), 166-7.
Ashen Daluwattage and Tom Bradley were the batsmen trying to save the game however both fell on the same score, Ashen Daluwattage was caught by Matt Dawson off Marques for 5 (10 balls), 180-8. Matt Dawson claimed his fifth wicket and won the match when Harry Barclay stumped Tom Bradley for 9 (14 balls) as St Annes were 180-9 in 42.2 overs. Kyle Costin was 0no.
